Vick and Crumpler will Start
Translation: Michael Vick will start at quarterback and Alge Crumpler at tight end, even though the Falcons have little to gain after securing a first-round bye in the playoffs.
"We have an obligation to try and win every game we play," Mora said Monday. "We're professionals. We're paid to do that, and so that's what we're going to do." http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200....ap/index.html |

Vick and Crumpler will Start
Hey guys, I know ya\'ll don\'t want Vick or Crumpler to play. But, I\'d prepare to see both of them play the entire game. Some coaches don\'t like to sit their starters regardless of the circumstances.
If we can put a few good hits on Vick, I think that would increase the odds of Mora pulling Vick. I hope they both play. If it\'s meant for us to go to the playoffs .... We\'ll beat whoever we have to. Peace.. |

Vick and Crumpler will Start
I just heard about five minutes ago on ESPN radio here in Austin that Vick will more than likely sit out. Not sure about Crumpler. I know it was preseason but Shaub looked pretty damn good himself. Who knows. The bottom line is attitude. Maybe we have a littel confidense now. We have to get geared up no matter who starts.

Vick and Crumpler will Start
Just found this online. It was only a small snippet, so there\'s no reason to post the link, it\'s all here:
Atlanta\'s Michael Vick and tight end Alge Crumpler are nursing ailments and are not likely to play Sunday at New Orleans. \"Mike\'s fine,\" coach Jim Mora said. \"His shoulder is sore, but nothing is structurally wrong.\" Crumpler sprained his right knee in the game. The Falcons (11-3) are locked into the NFC\'s No. 2 playoff spot. Rookie quarterback Matt Schaub will start his first NFL game. -- Atlanta Journal Constitution |

Vick and Crumpler will Start
Don\'t you guys want him to start? Don\'t you guys want to beat the best to get in, or are you all happy sliding in backwards at 8-8 against less than the best?
That\'s a rhetorical question b/c it\'s obvious that most people on this board want to get there no matter what. What happened to all that big talk from the preseason - people saying that Haslett should get fired and they would rather miss the playoffs if the Saints were going to back in at 9-7 and the last wildcard spot? |

IMO, should we win out and make the playoffs, Haslett, Loomis, and possibly McCarthy will stay. I do believe that Benson will do the right thing and fire Venturi, but I wouldn\'t bank on it just yet... If we lose the last two like we did against Denver and Carolina, expect more drastic changes. I would expect Venturi and McCarthy to be gone, Loomis (minutely possible), and I\'ll go out on a limb and say O-line coach Jack Henry (I know that the line has had a few bad injuries, namely Holland and Gandy, but that\'s still no excuse for the endless false start penalties, fumbled snaps, and poor pass protection). Henry deserves the blame for their poor play. As for Vick and Crumpler, I would bet that Jim Mora would put them in, but he won\'t overwork him. I\'d expect to see a lot more running plays and fewer opportunities for Vick and Crumpler to make any significant contribution. [Edited on 12/22/2004 by themightyduck] |
When it comes to discussing Saints losses, Jack Daniels can be a great listener.

Vick and Crumpler will Start
I kinda think Vick and Crumpler\'s playing time will be in direct proportion to how well the Saints manage to come out and play. If we\'re hanging in there, we\'ll probably see a little more Vick and Crumpler. If - per our history - we decide to implode after two solid showings, Shaub probably keeps the reins. I don\'t, however, expect the buzzards to roll over and hand it to us. Mora\'s still got \"coach of the year\" to think about! |
