He was replaced with 6 minutes left in the third quarter by Lelito. Goodwin did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday and was limited in Friday's practice. Lelito filled in only at guard as a rookie, and his first career-action at center last Sunday got off to an inauspicious start. Quarterback Drew Brees, standing in shotgun formation, was unable to handle Lelito's first snap and the play went for a drive-stalling loss. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/saints-...2647--nfl.html |

Re: Saints likely to start backup center vs. Dallas
I hope we don't start Goodwin if there is any question about his ankle. We need a good center -- and Lelito handled pass protection well. We'll be OK.

Re: Saints likely to start backup center vs. Dallas
Terron Armstead showed first game jitters and is now developing into a very good Left tackle, I think lelito could have the same progression with more playing time

Re: Saints likely to start backup center vs. Dallas
Besides one bad snap last week, Lelito was fine... Some might say Lelito coming in was actually a improvement
