Re: What if ... Sean Payton had coached the Cowboys?
That article is BS.
The Cowboys main issue doesn't stand on the sideline with a clipboard but the man who needs to have his fingers in every pie. Also what is he on about the Cowboys dominant offensive line?,the same line that has given up 7 sacks in 3 weeks. Jerry had the chance to get the likes of Colston,Evans,Strief,Bushrod, Nicks etc etc but Jerry knows best. Dez Bryant wouldn't have been as dangerous as Graham either imo. The reason why so many players get to stand out on the Saints offense is the match ups,Colston,Graham,Sproles etc didn't just line up wide or in the slot but found the match ups that worked and exploited teams. Until Jerry steps away every Cowboys coach will have the shadow looming over them |
"Two receivers to the left, Garcon to the right. Manning in the shotgun, puts Collie in motion. Looks in his direction...it's picked off! It's picked off! It's Tracy Porter again! He's runnin' free! He's gonna go all the way!

Re: What if ... Sean Payton had coached the Cowboys?
I love the what if's in the article. SP worked with Jerry long enough to see his character and he made his choices. And for the what if's too bad Miami, we do appreciate our Drew Brees here. I agree with 909 the day Jerry step's out of the hot lights the organization will move forward.

Big Jerr's the new Al Davis, until he's of the pic, the cowboys will wollow in mediocrity with micromanagement and hamstrung head coaches. Getting a top tier coach in that crap-show is gonna be real, real difficult. couldn't be sweeter.

Sacrilege. Although, if we'd have picked up Jason Garrett sometime after that, we would have ensured 8-8 for at least half a decade without a playoff berth, much less a Super Bowl win.

Re: What if ... Sean Payton had coached the Cowboys?
Would be interesting to see how he could really coach without Jerry dictating every move he makes...
