I'm not arguing anymore, apparently Payton and Loomis see it the way I do... That's why Bridgewater is a Viking and not wearing the black and gold

You just had to mention Ellis. Why don't you just finish me off "Mortal Kombat"-style with an AB reference. He didn't do crap in Oakland after Brees took over here. I'm gonna go shave my tongue and chew on some aluminum foil now.

With the way tonight's game is going, I think this Mortal Kombat reference is certainly applicable.

I don't really mind losing any of them, the only one that bothered me was Ivory. However you're right it does not make Payton and crew look good when our old players go to other teams and play like pro-bowlers. Jenkins is playing like the best FS in the league and Sproles won 2 games for the Eagles already.

And, you can add to your list Jedidiah Collins for the Lions, right? All the Jet/Lions announcers did all game was talk about exSaints running backs.

Their solid play elsewhere begs the question: Is it talent or coaching environment?

He's not making the splash Bush/Bell are, but he is the first legit FB the Lions have had since Cory Schlesinger ('06) and he fits into the revamped offense nicely ... especially considering who's running it, eh? J. Lombardi (don't forget former coaching staff, ;)) ... if any team out there is trying to become NOLA North, it's definitely the Lions, :).

All day yesterday, every game I watched was non-stop former Saints making big plays or good plays ... it's testimony to the good coaching and environment they came from, IMO, as well as their individual talent.

The past few seasons I've been hanging around here, Saints' roster was crowded with talent, it was inevitable the seams would burst and a few of 'em would have to get out.

Y'all hang in there, I'm still not convinced the wheels are coming off in NO.

You can tell Byrd is a player. He hits hard and moves well. Its hard for him, or any other of our DBs to make plays when they are getting absolutely no help from the defensive line. It all starts up front. You can have an entire backfield of Richard Shermans but if the QB has all day to throw and the D line is letting everyone get through to the secondary it wouldn't matter.
