Byrd was actually playing well tonight.

We have too much "talent" to be this bad on D. One thing I know for sure; our d-line may be the worst in the NFL, Jordan is a joke, Hicks is a no show and JR is getting paid to grow his beard. The biggest change in this D comes from the front four getting no pressure on the QB at all... Jordan is in a contract year and might be left to test FA market if he keeps this trash going.

Exactly, the porous defensive backfield was masked by the pressure last year, which we have seen NONE of this year.

You really think Byrd played well? You must not have watched the game...if he was a rookie or 2nd string player I'd say he did ok...good? No way in hell for the highest paid safety.

Byrd was literally the only one making plays... he can't compensate for everyone.

Earl Thomas would look just as bad.

High expectations from Jordan and Galette in preseason. Added help for safety with Byrd. The fall is further because of the stellar performance last year and what seemed to be some good pick ups/draft choices. It's hard to believe this is almost the same defense. They are fat and lazy and the other teams want it more. Dropped passes, missed tackles, etc. It is hard to watch a true -ss whipping. 8 and 8 will be tough to accomplish this year.

its looked bad and when Matt Ryan was throwing for over 400 you know their was a problem.

I think the coaching has taken a back seat.
