Ok, you guys got me worried & you probably need a distraction in order to regroup ... WTH is going on? You guys are making me look bad ... I've been predicting that the wheels would come off of yet another Lions fairy-tale season right about Wk #7, when the Saints came to town, but at the rate you're going, you're giving the entire Detroit fanbase "hope", :smh:.

Right now I'm hanging on a thread here, fighting off my buddies who all of a sudden want to make huge bets with me on the Saints game, and all the while I'm pointing out that Detroit's newfound success is largely due in part to the former Saints players on their roster and that the indomitable will of Sean Payton/Drew Brees will eventually shine through, and most likely in Wk #7, because they are proven winners and have been down this road before.

GET IT TOGETHER!!! ... little bit of tough love, ;).

... and if any of y'all are coming for the Detroit game, give me a shout if you need any help with anything, I'm minutes away from Ford Field/downtown.

No, you said the offense was equally to blame for our first two losses, which was absurd when you said it and still absurd.

Our offense has some issues. No one ever said they didn't, but the defense is exponentially worse.

Hey SloMo, it's bad man this team is bad. What talent we have is not playing to the level they should or what we think they should. Then after that it is glaring, cant tackle, cant make a play. out of position. Then on Drew's side of the ball, that line that is in front of him. I will argue with anyone, they are not as good as past teams before. Then play calling, Yes we got garbage yards in the whole 4th q. That game was out of reach in the 3rd. Because our d was not going to stop them.
anyway this is a bad team all the way from the top to the bottom. Still love them and i will sink with them, doesn't mean i cant scream at them before the waves are over my head.

We are only one game out of our bottom dwellers division, we are just pacing ourselves, lol.

We just don't have it yet this year in almost every way, but there is a long way to go and I'm not sold on any NFC team yet. There is still hope!!!

This team is the worst team we have fielded since Payton came in. Horrible. Try something, anything. Give play calling duties to Carmichael, fire Ryan, I don't care but do something. Our defense is a joke and our offense is just not right.

That's what I was focusing on, no one in the Division is really walking away with it ... yet ... and there's still time to right the ship. Couple of those losses really hurt me ... seriously ... & I was glad to see you get by Minnesota. But like Detroit, New Orleans' second half schedule is a ball-buster, though SFran ain't lookin' all that impressive & Cutler (CHI) is melting down, as usual, :lol:.

Still, it's almost like being in an alternate reality watching you guys play so far this year. It'll get better though, hopefully Tampa, the bye week & a road win in Detroit will get your heads on straight.

It's true. Not only did we clear first string personnel to sign Graham who hasn't pulled his weight this season, we also went out and picked up the best free agent money could buy in Byrd. Only problem is we could have kept Malcolm Jenkins for 1-tenth what we are paying Byrd and could have signed two first class free agent d linemen or LB's. The article is true, we have personnel we have for about three years as all these deals are back loaded and guaranteed, so we MUST make these players fit and work whether they fit our scheme or not.

Somebody already said it "Fat Cats" is what the team has become. So they got their big money and now it's time to sit back. This current team has no drive or no compassion or so it seems.

Yeah probably the ones who have played on this team with Sean Payton for years and contributed to the organization at a decent rate, then Graham and Byrd come in with monster contracts and eat up all the money so they can't get help at positions needed to return to the SuperBowl. Good fit or not, winning be damned, we're stuck with some people.

Yea I totally agree and posted something real similar last night except I sort of blamed it all on JG.(unfair of course but). He was very outspoken about disliking the release of Sproles and Vilma. Plus he's still mad at Brees because after Brees signed his huge deal he went on ESPN and campaigned for the Saints to be able to pay JG as a TE. Then he said if we lost Graham because we couldn't sign him, we'd be fine without him.

I only got to watch two partial games and some highlights and somewhat agree, it just didn't look like the Saints I've grown accustomed to since 2011 or so ... remember thinking at one point they looked like they were still in pre-season mode. Whatever it is, I still gotta' think Payton will pull them out of their funk ... at this point, :).

I gotta' tell you guys (again), this whole situation just smacks of yet another similarity between the Lions/Saints. It's almost identical to the situation Detroit has gotten themselves into with Suh's contract, except they didn't have the premium talent to jettison, :lol: ... but it has still tied their hands enough for them to finally realize that they'd probably be better off letting him go & get more value for those contract dollars.

I've been kinda' anticipating seeing how Vaccarro would fare against Calvin, myself ... but signing Golden Tate has taken some of the spotlight off of Megatron ... that guy (Tate) is "Mr. Yards-after-the-Catch" and it's easy to see how he was Seattle's most productive (yds) receiver ... if I'm not mistaken, :).

I have thought this type of thing, too. In fact I wonder if there may actually be two or three smaller separate things going on internally right now. John Jenkins is "healthy" but doesn't make the trip?? Why so few "rainbow" deep shots from Brees anymore, these days? And where the heck is Pierre Thomas?

To me this game was eerily reminiscent of the Saints/Broncos game in 2012, where fan hopes were high and the wheels totally fell off, in the middle of the road, for all to see.

Unfortunately "something internal is wrong with the team" is kinda what I'm smelling. There is clearly a disconnect between what is happening inside the Saints locker room/coaching bubble, and what is happening out on the field. Not sure if it's Payton-related, Ryan-related, or something else.

Colston and jimmy almost seem like they are intentionally not catching passes. Colston's no targets a couple of weeks ago and his demeanor seem to also be passive aggressive. I really think there is locker room mutiny going on.

Nah, they've started fast outta' the gate before & in recent history only to go something like 1-7/2-6 the second half of their schedule ... Wk #7 is when they start playing the good teams & we'll see if they're for real then, ;) ... it makes for good conversation, but I gotta' think by the time Wk#7 rolls around, the Saints'll be good & tired of what's been going on thus far and be using the Lions game to "make a statement".

Since you both called it out, I'll share what I know. I have an inside-the-organization source (legit) who says there are 2-3 factions in the locker room.

PT is disgruntled as hell about being buried on the depth chart and "shopped around" twice.

Jimmy and Junior have been total d i c k s since their payday. Players are not mad they got paid but in how they're treating everyone else.

So some are pissed some are like "f-it, I'm getting mine" but overall Payton is losing the respect of a lot of players. Quickly.

This should explain the canned answers we're hearing from players and coaches alike.

Buckle up Who Dats, it could be a long season if we lose to TB.

Thats still absurd. If our defense was even close to at least average our offense would have a 3 score lead in the 4th and we wouldn't have to worry about a bottom feeder going 96 yards with 50 seconds left to beat us on a last second FG.

Partly responsible I could kinda buy, but even thats a pretty hard sell. Equally responsible is exactly what I said it was, absurd. We gave up 600 yards to the Falcons and our offense scored 37 points.

On what planet does that mean the offense and defense are equally to blame?

Thanks for the info. Something doesn't look right on the field and maybe they just don't have each others back like they used to.

We need an ass-kicker in the locker room to nip this in the bud. I can't help but think someone with Vilma's stature is sorely needed. It wouldn't hurt to bring him in as a position coach where he could still influence these guys.

Coach Payton has to know whats going on. He should take care of it from the coaching ranks. Rob Ryan seems like he's too much of a players coach to smack someone upside their head.

Then again, maybe its time to part ways with some of these malcontents. Stay young and stay hungry.

I never thought in-fighting would be a problem with this team. But it makes sense with the implosion we have witnessed. Loosing to TB would not surprise me.

October is a new month and they should take it as a new start.
