Saints: We'll find out what we're made of
Here is the best place to look for what you are made of!
METAIRIE, La. -- The New Orleans Saints seemed to have the proper mix of anger/frustration/confidence/realism/focus on Monday after a 38-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys that sent them reeling back to 1-3 on the season. But they were the first to admit that they won't really know if they're reacting the right way until they start to see real evidence on the football field -- beginning with Sunday's home date with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. "Here's what we can't do: We can't continue with the exact same preparation plan and expect different results, right?" Saints coach Sean Payton said. "And so you've gotta constantly look at tweaking the approach coming into the next week. "Look, we'll find out a little bit about this team here. When you start the season 1-3 and you get punched like that, very quickly we'll find out a little bit about what we're made of." So far we're made of pudding, no back-bone, no kahunas, no nothing, just pudding.

Re: Saints: We'll find out what we're made of
When you lose in overtime to your biggest rival in their house and lose on a last second field goal to a lowly Cleveland team, a blowout/beatdown on national TV helps cure any doubts about whether you're a good team with bad luck or a bad team that is underachieving. This team in the last 4 games is clearly and absolutely an underachieving bad team.
Now, when they look at themselves, they should find themselves as frauds by thinking they're a good team with bad luck with being completely exposed last night. Where do they go? Continue doing what they're doing or have some pride and resilience to reach those talent potentials...together...as a team. |

Re: Saints: We'll find out what we're made of
Tom Brady said it best in his presser after their beat down in KC -- "Hopefully we can learn from it, learn the things we are doing wrong, and make the improvements. There is nobody that is going to dig us out of the hole. We kinda created it for ourselves, we are going to have to look each other in the eye and see what kind of commitment we are willing to make for each other and try to do alot better".

Re: Saints: We'll find out what we're made of
The Saints thought they were the better team, (which they are), and were going to waltz into Jerrah's World and the Cowboys were going to roll over and play dead.
I put this loss in particular on the coaching staff for not playing to the Saints strengths and Dallas' weaknesses. |

Re: Saints: We'll find out what we're made of
What are our strengths? What are their weaknesses? When I saw them getting multiple defensive starters back this week I knew it was trouble. I hope Ingram can save us. He may be our only chance. Let's trade the Texans Drew Brees for JJ Watt. Their salaries are close. Start McCown-D-line-Jordan, Hicks, Watt(best in NFL) and run a lot. I'm down. Make it happen Loomis.

Re: Saints: We'll find out what we're made of
You know I dont hearing that we are a better team. We are not, I dont like hearing on paper we are a great team, we are not. I will admit, I like hearing that we are a SB contender. It makes you feel good about your team, its a pride thing walking around with your chest out.
But none of that means a damn thing, reality is we are a bad team and until they can prove it. Prove to themselves and show us fans and the national media we are better than what we have shown so far..... We are just that a bad team |
