I am going on record
If the Saints lose tomorrow I am putting a fork in this season.
Saints would be 0-2 in the division and still have 40-whiners, Packers, failclowns, kittens, Bears, Lions, Bengals, Steelers and Ravens on the schedule. As long as the Saints call New Orleans home they will always be my team and the only thing that will change that is a change of address. I want to be wrong and hope the team can pull their heads out of their a$$es. |

Re: I am going on record
I agree. I really don't see our defense making a drastic enough turnaround to stop most of those teams offenses. The Bengals are the real deal and the Lions can be dangerous too. We know what Green Bay can do and we know how well we play in Chicago outdoors in the cold. Its not looking too good. In the past our offense was potent enough to put up more points than the other team and we would win games in spite of our defense. I don't know if it is still that good.

Re: I am going on record
Way too early for me bail, as this season has already proved, very, unpredictable. I could easily see a 9-7, 10-6 team doing some damage in the playoffs.

Re: I am going on record
I think they could turn it around. Remember the Spags D was knocking on the playoffs. Our division also sucks. There could be some crazy tie breaking rules in effect. 7 wins might be enough with some stars aligning. I don't see anybody in the division getting more than 8 W's.

Re: I am going on record
I agree with the OP. 1-3 we can come back from. 2-3 going into the bye week is a great opportunity. But 1-4, we are finished. The entire season hinges on tomorrow, IMO.

The Panthers started 1-3 last year and ended up being the #2 seed.
Season's definitely not over yet. I have no worries about tomorrow. We're at home and playing one of the worst teams in the league. The game after that though @Detroit has me concerned. |

Re: I am going on record
One Brooks led team went 8-0 then Zero. Anything is possible. This could be the straw that breaks us or, it could be something totally different. It really depends on Ryan getting a bonfire lit under the defense.
