Glad to get the win, but man they were so lucky. Drew throwing three INTs and 14 points coming off them was about equal to all the times Tampa shot themselves in the foot.
They have a lot of work to do over the bye week break to get this team to a point to compete with the middle of our schedule. Thank goodness the Pack, Niners, and Bengals are in the Dome. |

Re: 2-3 going into the bye week; 1 game back of division lead
This is one screwed up NFL season. 5 weeks in and no undefeated teams. The Cowboys tied for best in the conference?
All I know for sure right now is that I know NOTHING for sure right now... |
Re: 2-3 going into the bye week; 1 game back of division lead
This is the parity that Goodell and the league wants; this is enforced mediocrity. Nobody is any better than anybody else, its good for ratings.
It's obvious if you look at it. Over the years, they have gotten very good at making deliberate scheduling decisions, that make it tougher for strong teams and make it easier for weak teams. Like giving the Saints all these road games to start the year, why? Also by always giving the Saints Thursday road games on a short week, and they're always divisional games against either Atlanta or Carolina, never the Saints vs. the Bucs because that['s too easy. Unless I'm mistaken, we haven't had a Thursday night HOME game at home in the Dome since 2010, and that was the season opener against the Vikings. Always on the road on the short week. Why? Look back at it all....The past 4-5 years the league has been knocking themselves out, doing anything and everything they can think of, to keep Sean Payton and the Saints from being too dominant in the division... and it's not just the Saints.... There are easily about 5 or 6 other examples you can get into, and do this with, for other teams, where they have tweaked the schedules and other things, to make it tough for the stronger favored team in the division and easier for the other teams to catch up to them. Another example is the way they keep giving the Ravens all those compensatory draft picks, year after year after year. It's to keep them competitive with the Steelers, all those years when the Steelers were really good. I could go on and on. If you are too good and not on his list of favorites, then Goodell and the league will clip your wings... |
Re: 2-3 going into the bye week; 1 game back of division lead
I am going to delete weeks 1 and 2 from my memory bank.
We are now 2-1 going into the bye! Whew...I now feel so much better!! |
Re: 2-3 going into the bye week; 1 game back of division lead
I think Carolina are going to start pulling away
They always seem to get a win streak going Next two weeks are our season definers, both must wins If we split the games I think we'll be watching a 7-9 season at best |
