We just need to adjust to different styles of play. When can run it when we try. We just seem to be one dimensional from a coaching standpoint, and Brees is simply not as accurate as he used to be. We could rely on him a little more in the past, and even then, we ran the ball to the tune of 4th in the league in 2009. I don't know that there is any specific formula for success. You just need to be versatile and creative enough to match up with whoever you're playing. We're not doing that so well in the last couple years.

Julius Jones was our running back, yikes

I know we got the win but I still don't see a team that plays as a unit. Tampa is the weakest team in our division this year( next year they want be) and give us more than we could handle in reality. I hope we make better decisions going forward( the draft, players we sign to big contracts, players we keep, players we let go) if not we'll be the one's on bottom. I don't really like being on bottom, to many bad memories of that if you ask me!!

This reminded of the San Fran game when Ahmad Brooks clocked Drew's @$$ and he had the multi-interception, pick-six game...

To those arguing that brees was pressured should read this twice. It merely points out that We are too finese to compete at a serious level as we once did. While brees was breaking records opponents were stocking the shelves with defensive beasts and offesive lineman from planet monster. We need to adapt or continue to find ourselves In shootouts with 3 and 4 win teams. No bueno

Disagree.

Akeem Hicks and Cam Jordan are stud finds by our scouts.
Gallette over-delivered on his original contract.
John Jenkins is stout and getting better.
Not to mention all above are young guys!!

We have 2-3 Pro Bowl O lineman, one very serviceable RT and a future Pro Bowl LT in Armstead.

it's not for a lack of talent .

The answer is simple: Get back to basics and simplify the defense. Don't forget to make the winning team hurt the day after!! Uh Oh! we won so we're the one hurting today! Thank goodness for the bye!

We need that one receiver that can take the top off the defense, like devery, and meacham did. Now the seam in the middle of the field has closed. Shockey and Graham could run free in the middle.

Let's all be thankful that Brees can hopefully learn his lesson with turnovers from this game, that we actually won.

Re: Accurate Read

that pic six on brees yesterday was a dumb pass to toss up a nerf ball. but in drews corner there was a blown call on a hit to the head on that play. why these refs can't seem to call it both ways is a puzzle to me. glenon had the call on a third and forever that in my mind was the momentum changer we about were to put them yaks away, did anyone see what I seen?

Re: Accurate Read

The only thing "proven" today is that we still make too many mistakes which allows teams to hang in there.

Brees gave them 14 pts today. That doesn't happen often. He made bad decisions.

You can't turn the ball over and win. We got lucky.
