Errr hmmmm let's be realistic, it is highly doubtful that Loomis can "make it happen," because Loomis has already given the team's money to Byrd, Junior, and Jimmy, plus fat cat contracts continuing to be paid out for Grubbs and Evans.... Prather got $3 million per year in Denver, and will expect to command the same salary or probably more. I know a lot of people here don't like him but Shayne Graham at $570,000 is about all the kicker the Saints can afford, folks....would be nice to have a solid reliable kicker but thanks to Loomis the Saints are already something like $19M over the cap for next year and the "dead money" is only going to increase.....
I would love to see this guy kick for us but assuming $3M+ and higher over multiple years, I'd like to see someone propose how we could possibly do it. Short of pulling Brees off the practice field or away from the dinner table tonight, and demanding he restructure RIGHT NOW, lol |
