If that's the case, then I wanna' change my prediction of 16pts comprised of 2TDs, 1FG and 1 missed PAT to being made up of 1TD & 3FG's ... besides, without Calvin, the Lions offense absolutely sputters,.

Straight from those dingle berries at PFT...I'm still sticking with my "nobody scores more than 24 and nobody wins by more than 4" formula:

Saints at Lions

MDS’s take: The Saints’ offense is good and their defense is bad. The Lions’ defense is good and their offense is bad. I’ll break the tie by going with home-field advantage, and that means the Lions.

MDS’s pick: Lions 23, Saints 20.

Florio’s take: The Lions have a great defense, but they haven’t faced an offense quite like the one the Saints have. Sure, Reggie Bush will want some revenge. But he can only do so much to match what the Saints will muster, with two weeks to rest and to prepare for a showdown with the team New Orleans manhandled less than three years ago in the playoffs.

Florio’s pick: Saints 34, Lions 27.

BREAK BREAK

Should be a great game...obviously an even better game if we can get that road monkey off our back. It's a vicious little creature.

Yep, glad to see they're on board (especially Florio,) with what we've basically been saying all week, ... but it should be a good game if the Lions can manage to play four quarters at home and not just the customary two quarters they're used to playing vs the Saints. Honestly, I can't see the Lions scoring 27, 23 points as their offense has really only been putting up 7, 14 points as of late vs some pretty suspect opponents, ... and I don't see the whole Reggie Bush "revenge" angle ... he's actually a pretty nice guy, IMO,.

Well, then, we need to get paid to analyze games like they do. :p

And I have nothing against Bush whatsoever. He came here after Katrina and embraced the city and this area. Some of us (including myself) were disappointed he was not the second coming of Gale Sayers, which is unfair to Reggie.

But he did a lot of great things here with some pretty good teams from 2006 until he became a Fin and he brought excitement to a team, city & Gulf Coast area that desperately needed it at the time...at least that's my take on it.

He was as big as a saint as anyone that ever came here. It was exciting as heck when the word came out.just wish he would have not run straight for the sidelines so much.

Yeah, I tell ya' ... going back two/three years ... I swear I'd read threads on here and then see similar opinions expressed in the media a day or two later ... at first you think it's the guys on the boards keying off the media guys, but then you scratch your head, check the dates & start thinking the media guys are pulling material off the message boards, ... at least Black & Gold, IDK about some of the other ones, ;).

And yeah, I don't mean you guys & the Bush revenge-angle, I mean the media boneheads, :) ... and I think he got that east/west thing figured out in Miami ... heck, so far in Detroit, I think I've really only seen him head for the sidelines two/three times & two of them were for pretty good runs, :).

Let do the counting, shall we?

Unless any of ours tried out or played with Detroit in the preseason:

Zero!...Ah ah ah.

Look at that...a Miss State dude can count from zero to five!
