If the Saints offense and defense can start playing anywhere close to last year I believe the Saints can win the division.

The failclowns are well on their way to repeating last year's season.

But the way 2014 can be elevated from simply fun to the best is an elaborate scenario that seems entirely plausible after six weeks of the season:

To flip 2010 around on the Seahawks.

No, seriously, hear me out. It’s a narrative so enticing that I can forgive all flaws from this 2014 team if it helps us get closer to it. If the Saints (God willing) manage to win the South at 8-8, or, if we’re really lucky, 7-9, there’s a fair to good chance that we’ll get to host the defending world champion Seahawks in a bizarro world.

A world in which the Saints (and not the Seahawks) win a game they have no business winning. A world in which the Saints (and not the Seahawks) knock off the champions. A world in which #AngryIngram (and not Marshawn Lynch) hits beastmode. A world in which the fans inside the Superdome (and not CenturyLink Field) react so enthusiastically to a game-sealing run that some nerds 100 miles away register an earthquake. A world in which we get a chance to set the entitled 12th Man fans on their ass.

This is a world I want to live in. I will make a promise to my God that if the Saints can do this for me, I won’t ask for anymore playoff wins this year. I’ll do my best to not be bitter at the next loss. I won’t be sad that Saints won’t finish the year as world champions, because destroying the Seahawks will have been worth it.
