2014 Is Secretly Awesome
If the Saints offense and defense can start playing anywhere close to last year I believe the Saints can win the division.
The failclowns are well on their way to repeating last year's season. The only way the kittens don't go to the bottom of the division is because of Tampa. ************************************************************* But the way 2014 can be elevated from simply fun to the best is an elaborate scenario that seems entirely plausible after six weeks of the season: To flip 2010 around on the Seahawks. No, seriously, hear me out. It’s a narrative so enticing that I can forgive all flaws from this 2014 team if it helps us get closer to it. If the Saints (God willing) manage to win the South at 8-8, or, if we’re really lucky, 7-9, there’s a fair to good chance that we’ll get to host the defending world champion Seahawks in a bizarro world. A world in which the Saints (and not the Seahawks) win a game they have no business winning. A world in which the Saints (and not the Seahawks) knock off the champions. A world in which #AngryIngram (and not Marshawn Lynch) hits beastmode. A world in which the fans inside the Superdome (and not CenturyLink Field) react so enthusiastically to a game-sealing run that some nerds 100 miles away register an earthquake. A world in which we get a chance to set the entitled 12th Man fans on their ass. This is a world I want to live in. I will make a promise to my God that if the Saints can do this for me, I won’t ask for anymore playoff wins this year. I’ll do my best to not be bitter at the next loss. I won’t be sad that Saints won’t finish the year as world champions, because destroying the Seahawks will have been worth it. 2014 Is Secretly Awesome | The Black & Gold Review |

Re: 2014 Is Secretly Awesome
That's funny.....i had the exact same thought recently.
Not about the Saints being 7-9 necessarily..........but about them winning the division as a 4th seed and hosting Seattle as a result of them falling short in the division to either Zona or Frisco. Wonder if any Seattle fans would cry for "playoff restructuring" if that happened LOL. I don't even care that the Saints have been on the short end of that scenerio before.......I think if you win your division, you should get into the playoffs. And the whole "crappy division" argument barely works anymore, because you saw how quick the NFC West turned around after 2010, and for that matter, the NFC East ain't lookin too bad these days. |

Re: 2014 Is Secretly Awesome
2014 could be totally awesome if we could correct our mistakes and play like we can.
