So we can also look at it the other way around... The division leaders Philly is 15th in the NFL in rushing yards per game Detroit is 29th Carolina is 28th Arizona is 30th New England is 19th Cincinnati is 12th Indianapolis is 16th San Diego is 25th Not one of those teams is running the ball more than the Saints, none of them are in the top 10 and only 2 of the eight are even in the top half of the league, half of them are in the bottom quarter of the league, yet somehow they're all leading their respective divisions. The point I'm trying to make is a good running game is a good tool to have but it's not necessary to have a winning team. |
