Re: Call me an Optimist
I wouldn't be so quick to count the Chicago game a loss. They play better on the road than at home. They haven't won a game at home yet this season. If we can manage to win our remaining home games and at least one of the road, we should be good to sneak in.

I just hope we continue to improve on our play yesterday and close the game against Green Bay so ALL Saints fans will finally sleep sober and well on Sunday night! |

Re: Call me an Optimist
Just listen to what we are saying. We are talking about a team that was picked, by several pundits to make it to the super bowl. Yet today we are 2-4, in week 7 talking about how the defense is making improvements & how we played against the #1 defense. Look at other teams outside of the division we would be competing against for seeding. The Cowboys, the Packers, who will whip our butts on Sunday, even the 9ers.
NO MORE EXCUSES! |

Re: Call me an Optimist
reality check gang
24 Detroit Lions 24th ranked offense in the NFL so before we get overly excited about the play of the defense just keep it all in check a bit. This was a can the saints offense handle the #1 defense in the NFL on the road? not bad overall. but what we saw was a defense that closed out a game. something our defense has and still fails to do. hats off they did not look totally stupid till the end. I will take it. baby steps. next up the red hot 25th ranked Green Bay Packers offense. so hot they are 4th in PTS per game at 28.4. with no road issues. lets hope for some more baby steps on defense |
Re: Call me an Optimist
If this year has continued to prove anything across the entire league, it is that numbers and ranks mean jack sh*!.
