this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; We are 2-4, but looking at our losses, three of them are by a combined 6 points. One play here and one play there and we're 5-1 right now. Last year we were pulling out the close ones, this year ...

2-4
We are 2-4, but looking at our losses, three of them are by a combined 6 points. One play here and one play there and we're 5-1 right now. Last year we were pulling out the close ones, this year the football gods are going the other way. But to think, with how poor we've played overall (compared to what we've come to expect over the last five years plus), we could easily be 5-1 right now is very interesting.

Its an over-used cliche that way too many fans use to express frustration at under-achieving teams. Its weak. |

Colston fumbled in OT vs bucs, but was ruled an incomplete pass Good teams make those plays, from 2009-2011 and last year we closed out games well, we are lacking mental toughness in big time situations and I honestly don't believe we will see a change this year . |

At the end of this season, I will feel worse if we don't make it to the playoffs, I will feel worse if we don't win 9 games. It is hard to win in the NFL, but, at the end of the day, "Winning isn't everything, but it is the only thing" - Henry Russell ("Red") Sanders. |

Re: 2-4
We are 2-4, yes, but on the flip side really we could have lost to Tampa if they didn't keep shooting themselves in the foot in the Dome, and if Minn had any kind of red-zone effectiveness, could have lost that also.
The only team that is playing balance football that we have played is the Cowgirls, and we all know what happened there. I'm not trying to be Debbie Downer, but our Saints haven't put together a total game yet. I'm still hopeful, and I really hope we right the ship Sunday night. I'll be there doing my part. |

Re: 2-4
Minnesota was without their only offensive weapon
Tampa bay had mike Evans out and their leading TE banged up We could have very easily lost both games, especially if the booth had reviewed colston catch fumble in OT |
