Saints refuse postgame interviews with NFLN...again
I hope it hurts! I know it hurt your ratings when you had to run that stupid out of place drafted story. The Saints team is still mad over Roger Goodell's blatant lies where accusing players and coaches in Goodellgate. More time for fans to tune into local tv stations to watch postgame on channel's 4,6 and 8. Last I checked we NEVER needed NFLN. We played football for YEARS without forcing Thursday Night Football games on players causing more head injuries, especially after playing on Sunday. I hope the NFLN stays on the bottom end of the cable guide and the network goes out of business for all I care. |
Re: Saints refuse postgame interviews with NFLN...again
Payton is getting his edge back. I love it.

Re: Saints refuse postgame interviews with NFLN...again
Is that why they refused the interviews? Payton's hatred for Thursday Night Football?

I wouldn't want to interview on NFLN either. Why risk it? Besides, why do teams have to play on Thursday night after a Sunday night game? Damned irresponsible of Mr. Goodell, especially when the NFL is getting sued for unnecessary injuries to start with. |
Re: Saints refuse postgame interviews with NFLN...again
screw them an old dirty roger you go Payton

Re: Saints refuse postgame interviews with NFLN...again
Us vs. Them. It's working. I like it. Plus, feeding the running game. :)

Re: Saints refuse postgame interviews with NFLN...again
To be honest I am glad they refuse. None of them ask legitimate questions.
|
Re: Saints refuse postgame interviews with NFLN...again
The "questions" they ask on there are actually just Deion doing a monologue about himself.

Now, I've always been under the impression players/coaches/teams were under some kind of contractual obligation to do these interviews, was that not the case here and the teams on TNF/NFLN can decline postgame stuff? Either way, I'm not a big fan of TNF and always support RG getting the finger, :D. |
Re: Saints refuse postgame interviews with NFLN...again
First: Shawn is absolutely right to stay away and keep his players away. This station aided in sullying our name during bountygate.... Im not about to do them any favors... Brees equals ratings.. Im not about to put my QB on your show to help your ratings out.
Second: How dumb is it to schedule a team on Sunday Night, then again on Thursday Night. It's the equivalent of making them play twice on back to back days... This is very unsafe on the players and Payton has a legitimate gripe. |

Look, Sean Payton has brass balls. That's why we love him.
At times in his career, he's had to pay a price for being "who" he is (see Goodell) and some fans are peeved by his actions but in the long run I wouldn't have any other coach. His fingerprints are all over this recent surge to the top of the NFC South. If this holds, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we beat San Fran by 10. |
Re: Saints refuse postgame interviews with NFLN...again
Take last year game againt pantherpanties a healty Jimmy was mugged all game long by refs very strange see last night a hurt jimmy burns them.Look at play where brady throws last sec td pass that was showed over an over to play up how great Brady is.however film study shows Junior held by waist band an in choke hold still almost sacks him.Film of it could be used to train rookie refs when you see this always throw flag 10 sec run off game over Saints win. These two games saints screwed should have been wins then Saints have home field edge.despite that saints came to play aginst sea ckens in playoff but were screwed by refs review lance moore flag as compared to mugging sea ckes did in secondary or rafel bush clean hit was flaged.A case can be made Saints were true champs last year.

I am all for Payton utilizing the us vs. them mentality when it comes to the league. I think it is good motivation for the players to be more aware that we could be more susceptible to calls and to play more precise and cleaner. It could all be ridiculous conspiracy theory, but if the players believe they have to be perfect and disciplined in their play to not cost the team it could definitely benefit our overall performance.

NFLN is NOT journalism, it's TMZ type drama. NFL picks its "favorite" NFL players to appear on the shows, and picks their "favorite" teams to cover and give good press to. When was the last time you heard a legit story about the Raiders or Jaguars? Those teams have news and do good works like charity, but you'd NEVER hear of it on NFLN. Recently ONLY news I hear about the Saints on NFLN is negative, along with a slew of other teams the NFL decides to give crap press to at that time. NFL SHOULD NOT be in the business of running a propaganda machine!!! Quote:

Re: Saints refuse postgame interviews with NFLN...again
It is risky to have these games so close. On the other hand they get another 10 day break to heal & prepare for the 9er's.

Re: Saints refuse postgame interviews with NFLN...again
Good. Good on Sean Payton. Screw the NFLN and their boss Der Fuhrer.
Seriously, which player would really want to sit up there with Neon Peon & Coke Machine Irving just to have them talk about how great they were 2 decades ago and making excuses for Scam Newton's failures? Message loud & clear to the NFL brass from Sean Payton: "**** all y'all!!!" with free-flying double birds. |
Re: Saints refuse postgame interviews with NFLN...again
We could save planet Earth by recycling all the garbage that comes from Irvin's and Sanders's mouths.

I personally love Thursday night games. I do disagree with a team playing Sunday night or Monday night game having to play on Thursday night.
But there was a study released I think last year about there has not been any increase of injuries of players playing Thursday night games. |

It's a shame that he can't be professional on set as you can tell his colleagues are embarrassed for him. I think in the first TNF of the season he was so drunk you couldn't understand anything he said... sad. |

The scheduling conflicts are legend, but as it seems the Saints play their best ball when they're being abused, y'all might want to consider thanking the league for this one ... just once, ;). |
