During their first six games, the Saints managed nine sacks. In their last two games, the Saints have had eight sacks. New Orleans’ pass rush? It’s alive.
Let’s start with the possible resurgence of the single most disappointing defensive lineman on the roster until this point: Akiem Hicks. Agree that our pass rush is getting better but hicks was given to much credit in this article. In fact on the sack fumble of newton he described hicks playing a big role pushing the pocket, but hicks wasn't even on the field, it was walker.

It appears that, instead of going solo for the glamor shot (and failing), the linemen are herding the opposing qb into the other defenders. That's how the best d-lines work. Amazing that it took 8 games to figure out.

Of course, we are going to have to face much, much better O-Lines going forward. However, after the Rams' 8 sacks ( 8?!?! :bugeyes: ) of Kapernick yesterday -- we could have a huge game against the Whiners. I'm ready.
