Let’s start with the possible resurgence of the single most disappointing defensive lineman on the roster until this point: Akiem Hicks. Holy Crap, Akiem Hicks Last season, Akiem Hicks flew through the air and crash-landed on a runway made of Cam Newton. This year his path to Newton was both more direct and more terrifying. Thank God. Finally. We seriously needed that. Congrats to Junyah, Jordan, Hicks, Edebali, and anybody else I've forgotten.
Like I said -- in this post -- our pass rush will have a big day http://blackandgold.com/saints/69106...tml#post621484 |

Agree that our pass rush is getting better but hicks was given to much credit in this article. In fact on the sack fumble of newton he described hicks playing a big role pushing the pocket, but hicks wasn't even on the field, it was walker.

It appears that, instead of going solo for the glamor shot (and failing), the linemen are herding the opposing qb into the other defenders. That's how the best d-lines work. Amazing that it took 8 games to figure out.

Of course, we are going to have to face much, much better O-Lines going forward. However, after the Rams' 8 sacks ( 8?!?! ) of Kapernick yesterday -- we could have a huge game against the Whiners. I'm ready.
