A great pass rush that gets after the QB sure makes people change there opinion of sub par cornerbacks.....Oh man is there a high Corey White ceiling in here.... I admit he is a great tackler... this I can't deny... but him is being a cover corner with ball skills is more than a stretch... cause he is just not good at it...yet.... He has two similar ints this season...... One on a receiver who did not run his route correctly... White was of course out of position, which put him in the perfect position for the Int... another where he was complete fooled by the receiver but the QB under pressure put to much on the ball.... He hasn't re - invented the wheel...

Re: DYNAMITE! Saints CB Corey White is Starting to Get it Right

White is another one of those players who gets scapegoated by some Saints fans who aren't willing to see problems in the older, more established players.

But after taking over for Greer last year, he actually played BETTER than Greer and consistently. Especially after that first full game against the Falcons. He was solid the rest of the season.

Now early this year he was shaky at times, but can we really say that's his fault considering the state of the defense? He certainly didn't look any worse than Keenan Lewis at that point and was obviously much much better than Robinson.

I like our dynamic with White and Robinson on the outside. They're both physical players who don't miss tackles and aren't afraid to get in a receiver's face. I think it fits into the defense much better. This defense is built on size and power, not speed.

Dixon and Ball should only see the field on special teams and at this point i would really be putting a low grade on keeping either one next year except on the PS maybe. I was a big supporter of the dixon signing but i really was surprised he made the squad and did not end up on the PS. kid needs a ton of work. Ball i expected more since we signed to a multi year deal. he to needs a ton of work, i wonder if mentally can they handle the NFL or will the NFL continue to handle them

Ok bring on Sunseri he should be next lets see if he gets added to the list. lets see if his smarts can make up for speed at the FS position.

funny i think they are all SS to be honest with you. even Bush looks more the part of a SS than FS.

if this is true then were is the back up FS? i keep looking and I do not see a one on the list. he must be hiding.

hey i gotta an idea! lets try SJB back there. in no way can he do any worse

so thank god for White steeping up or we would really be sunk.

I always like the kids attitude. blue collar lunch pail mentality. hit - wrap - plant. If you did it right there will be snot bubbles and just the whites of there eyes showing

Sunseri ran a faster 40 time (6 months after ACL surgery) than any safety on our team.

Exactly. White has played with better ball awareness in these last two games BUT he has also gotten lucky. He only get credit for one of those. He is still an unproven commodity. But, let's see if he shows he has done his homework in these next few games.
