New Orleans Saints wide receiver Joe Morgan's suspension is not season-ending, coach Sean Payton said Thursday, but did not elaborate.
Morgan was suspended by the team last week for undisclosed reasons. While at teammate Jairus Byrd's charity event Monday, Morgan declined to discuss his status with the team but said: "I'll be back." According to the 2011 Collective Bargaining Agreement, a team may suspend a player without pay for up to four weeks and fine them one week's salary for conduct detrimental to the club.
