I think it all starts with training camp, no mental toughness to close out games because the players had it easy in greenbrier.

The team that trained in NOLA in sweltering heat never let up off the gas pedal

now i would agree with you except for one fact. So the cover assignment was blown. the CB opposite should stay with his man till the QB crosses the line of scrimmage then take the best angle to put himself between the goal line and the QB to make a play.

Rolling coverage on a busted play is standard. everything is not suppose to fall apart. He is suppose to be among the last line of defense to prevent a TD. this breaking down does not fly. this is pee-wee football stuff

He blew the assignment. I wish i recorded the game. who was the numb nut? :???:

Tough to determine. White? Vaccaro? You could lump them together? Whomever was to blame, that was a face-palm moment.

It was a mixture of both vaccaro and whites fault

Corey white played the short zone and left crabtree for Vaccaro, but no one covered Vernon Davis in the middle of the field (white should have had him because he was closest and not covering anyone)
Instead Vaccaro saw Kaep scramble and Davis completely wide open and came flying down to cover Davis, leaving Crabtree completely wide open.

Seems Vaccaro should have picked up the WR after White but who knows.

Safety should never let anyone get behind him while the QB is behind the line, cardinal rule.
Allowing 7 or 8 seconds for a play to develop anyway was a killer.

It's over though, add it to the "ways they have blown games" list for the season and make sure it doesn't happen again. Play mistake free, take command of this division, and try to get on a role through the playoffs.
