Title or bust for NFC Septic teams
1 Attachment(s)
Whoever floats to the top makes the dance, all the rest are home to watch the playoffs. All NFC South teams currently have less than a 1% chance of a wildcard.
NFC Playoff Picture Saints are 60% to win the division, Carolina 28%, Atlanta 11% and Tampa less than 1%. |

If the Saints return the favor to Seattle, the rules committee will be burning the midnight oil to make sure it doesn't happen again. Remember the 2009 NFCC game? It didn't take long for the OT rule to be changed, and Saints fans know the ONLY reason it was changed is because Favre didn't go to the Super Bowl. I, as well as every member know on this forum know that if the Saints had lost the '09 NFCC game the OT rule would not have been changed. To this day I still remember a sports analyst, I want to say it was Dick King say, "It was a shame that Favre and the Vikings didn't get a chance in OT." |
Re: Title or bust for NFC Septic teams
I have no idea what any of that has to do with how poorly our team or the division as a whole is playing.

Re: Title or bust for NFC Septic teams
This is all a plan by SP his plan is to fly under the radar (very low)
Then sneak in the WildCard backdoor and unleash the Saints fury in the playoffs. Stay tuned .................. |

Let's hope so! :bng: Somehow it feels more like rolling down a hill in a standard trying to get it to crank before you get to the bottom of the hill and smash into a brick wall... |

Re: Title or bust for NFC Septic teams
The Tampa Bay Sludgeneers!!!
|
Re: Title or bust for NFC Septic teams
I agree Tampa is the sludge but we don't have a lot to boast about either.
By our Divisional dumb luck somehow we are still floating. |
Re: Title or bust for NFC Septic teams
'The dance' is one of the more nauseating metaphors I know.

Re: Title or bust for NFC Septic teams
The Clowns have a BRUTAL schedule.
6 wins for them will be a success... |
Re: Title or bust for NFC Septic teams
Looking at schedules, it's possible we could win this thing at 6-10 with no more NFC South wins.
Tampa has Green Bay, Detroit, Cincinnati, Carolina, Washington, Chicago and us so they are GUARANTEED 11 losses. Atlanta has Carolina twice, us, Cleveland, Arizona, Green Bay and Pittsburgh. Safe bet for 11 losses there when you're 3-6 Carolina has us, Atlanta twice, Tampa, Minnesota and Cleveland. I can see them dropping 4 of those and finishing 5-10-1. The key to this insanity would be a TB win over Carolina and for Carolina-Atlanta to split their games. So let's make history and be the first 6-10 division winner and Super Bowl Champ!!! (With a final record of 10-10) :dunce: |
Re: Title or bust for NFC Septic teams
Carolina has the easiest schedule. They only have one more loss other than the Saints, assuming... That would give them a 7-8-1 record. Thus, 8-8 would be the minimum that would guarantee a division win.
Don't look for us to beat anyone other than our division rivals. if we go 7-9, we're out. |
Re: Title or bust for NFC Septic teams
Joking on the 6-10. Don't you know that if that happened (or us winning at 7-9 or 8-8, for that matter) that the NFL will vote to change the playoff system.
I think we can still win most of what we have left. Pittsburgh and Baltimore scare me the most. That said, if we can't win 8 after stomping the Packers, do we deserve to go??? |
Re: Title or bust for NFC Septic teams
Good things comes to those who 8 and 8
|
Re: Title or bust for NFC Septic teams
Nonsense. We are the candy bar in the punch bowl. Unsightly yes, but get it out, pat it down and you now have a savory snack along with your punch.

Re: Title or bust for NFC Septic teams
Saints and Falcons the only possibilities to sneak in the back door. Bucs are done and Panthers in downward spiral.
