Well, at least Brooks has finally realized there are actually other players on the team. To hear him, he\'s been goin\' alone for quite awhile now. One question though...since he did lead the Saints to their only playoff win and since he is a \"great quarterback\" I wonder why he can\'t seem to do it again. I mean why can\'t he get us some more playoff victories? He\'s \"geat\" right?!
Maybe the team needs a little less \"greatness\" on his part and a little more maturity, leadership and teamwork. Just a thought... |

brooks needs to keep his mouth shut
Anybody hear the commentators today talking about the team meeting last night (Saturday before the game)? They said AB got up after Haslett and talked about how he was proud of the team, how they had done it together, and how it was all for one. Apparently the players weren\'t that moved - kind of hypocritical after his comments in the media. They said McKenzie got up next and he was really the one who got the team pumped up. I laughed out loud. It\'s funny that a guy who has been on the team for half a season has more credibility with his teammates and is a better leader than the guy who has started at QB for 4.5 years. I guess the guy showing the \"fake love\" is the problem, not the other way around.

I\'m new to this board, but I\'ve been defending Brooks on numerous other boards from Saints and Brooks haters who know little about the team or him.
Yes, I know that AB has made some mistakes, but we never saw the whole interview. We only saw what that reporter wanted us to see. His comments were probably taken out of context like all high-profile players in any sport are. No way should the blame be put on him. He puts the ball where it is supposed to be put most of the time, his numbers are consistently among the best every year, and he has proved he has what it takes to be great. Yeah, he makes mistakes, just like every quaterback in the league. We see all the highlights of Brooks\' mistakes over and over again. But I don\'t see the highlights of receivers dropping numerous balls each game(except for Mr. Horn, who doesn\'t drop balls), or all the false start penalties that put him in bad positions each series, or the defense that until 4 weeks ago was nonexistent, causing AB to play come from behind each and every week. Not to mention the horrible play calling. I\'m sorry guys, I just can\'t agree with you on negative things about Aaron Brooks. |

You don\'t have to agree with us, and welcome aboard. You\'re perfectly welcome to believe Brooks when he says he\'s the \"great QB\" on an inconsistent team that\'s holding him back. Personally, I think it\'s laughable.
