If you had to bench Brees and pick another Saints QB from ANY point in team history to start Sunday, and possibly the year, who would it be?

I am torn between Hebert and Blake.

For the offense we run. I'm also torn. I always thought Blake didn't get a fair shot. The offense was really starting to click when he got hurt.

Of course, I could be remembering things wrong. It happens.

None of the above. My friends, there is only one guy who could get the Saints to the promise land. Give me Kenny Stabler with this team any day and you get a Super Bowl winner! Until Brees arrived in New Orleans, Stabler was the best QB to ever put on a Saints uniform. Stabler had the misfortune of having to play in a conservative offense while with the Saints. A close second, Billy Kilmer. Kilmer is another winner, had he stayed with the Saints I do believe early Saints history would have been a whole different story...

Not that I would want to get rid of Brees but without a doubt Archie. His mobility plus passing skills. It would be like having Russel Wilson.

Tolliver is so cool. Met him here when he was first QBing for the Shreveport Pirates CFL team. He spent time with my son who also had red hair and I still have the Pirates cap that he signed. I will never have any bad words for that Billy Joe.

He was on a flight I was on from DFW to Shreveport years ago after he left the Saints. I didn't get to talk to him but I was wearing a Saints cap; smiled when he saw it!

Anyone who doesn't answer with Archie here has never seen his highlights. Archie was a great athlete with a big arm, good size and speed. Personally I'd say Hebert or Delhomme are a toss up after that. I give Hebert the edge. Our best pocket passer ever might have been Jim Everett though. Not successful here but Joe Montana couldn't have made that offense look good. Funnest QB I personally watched play for the Saints was John Fourcade.
