this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Aaron Brooks aka Fumbles the Clown Once again.....don\'t let reality get in the way of a good rant. Who, exactly, earned the name \"Captain Turnover\" all over again yesterday? LOL Jake Delhomme did. But the name Fumbles the Clown comes ...

Dear Saints....
While you tend to believe that anyone who disavows the Godlike presense of Fumbles with his \"STATS,\" is a negative pessimestic naysayer who is not a TRUE SAINTS FAN; you forget the fact that we still are not close to playoff material even though we have \"tons of talent on offense.\" That may be true, but we have little, if any, passion for either winning or being competetive. The other thing that earns Fumbles the Clown this derogatory moniker is his statements about \"Not being paid like the rest of the great QB\'s;\" \"carrying the team on his back;\" \" I am a GREAT QB;\" \"There is a lot of false love on this team;\" yadayada. My disdain for Fumbles comes not from the \"STATS\' he puts up, but for the number of W\'s he has helped put into the W column. |

Dear Saints....
quote: But the name Fumbles the Clown comes well earned from 5 seasons of slipshod, fundamentally poor, and unconscious mediocrity not how many he dropped in ONE game.
If that\'s the case, then why don\'t I see you making funny little nicknames for the slipshod, fundamentally poor , and unconscious mediocrity of the receivers(with the exception of Joe Horn). They drop an absud amount of well thrown balls. But who does that fall back on? Aaron Brooks. Where are the nicknames for the linesman that get all the false start penalties? Maybe you could come up with something like Filly the False Start Fella. But no, I don\'t see any of that stuff, only Brooks jokes. Stats are bigger than numbers. Because I\'ve seen a player fumble twice in a game, but his numbers were good. Whether his team won or lost is what constitutes which is a bigger factor, not yours or my opinions. |
