NFC South games will decide which one of these dogs is one and done (in playoffs)
NFC South games will decide who wins this thing. Lots of L's coming for this division in the next 6 weeks and we'll easily end up the worst division in NFL history (current record is 2010 NFC West with 25 total wins)
Saints (currently 4-6 finish 4-12 to 7-9) : Ravens (L) Steelers (L) Bears (L) Panthers (?) Falcons (?) Bucs (?) Falcons (currently 4-6 finish 4-12 to 6-10) : Browns (L) Cardinals (L) Packers (L) Steelers (L) Panthers (?) Saints (?) Panthers (currently 3-7-1 finish 3-12-1 to 6-9-1 ) : Vikings (L) Browns (L) Saints (?) Bucs (?) Falcons (?) Bucs (currently 2-8 finish 2-14 to 5-11 ) : Bears (? - only because Lovie Smith is old Bears coach) Bengals (L) Lions (L) Packers (L) Saints (?) Panthers (?) |

We suck the least, we win it at 7-9

I would give the nod to Atlanta (except their schedule is TOUGH) or Carolina (but they suck worse than us at the moment).
Maybe Lovie Smith or the Saints win the division at 6-10... |

I predict we win the division going 6-10. Best case scenario is Joe Morgan emerges as a stud WR in Cook's absence and Cooks returns for week 1 of the playoffs and our offense is transformed.

Re: NFC South games will decide which one of these dogs is one and done (in playoffs)
I was playing around with the ESPN online playoff calculator thingie, and it is not difficult at all to flip a few games in believable ways and end up with the Saints being 6-10 and winning the division, facing San Fran the tournament. While an 11-4 Dallas team stays home, LOL.
But, probably 90% of the possible scenarios for the Saints, HAVE to go through the Saints beating either Carolina, Atlanta, or both. Lay an egg and lose to either Carolina and/or Atlanta in the Dome (especially Carolina), and it's basically ALL over except prayers. It is very hard to construct a winning scenario that gets the Saints into the playoffs, if they were to come out flat and somehow lose BOTH of those two games. Losing one of them, would still make it immediately a lot tougher. They will be dogfights, I'm sure. The Baltimore game is actually pretty low in the stakes department. Compared to the games with Carolina and Atlanta and Tampa Bay, at this point. Because everybody else is also playing teams that are good this week, and will probably get beaten. |

We can't even put together a solid 60 minutes of football as of late, much less play off possibilities. Just win a game starting with Baltimore on Monday.
