Which Scenario bares the best fruit ?
A - Rebuild , Get something for Drew while we still can , build around Ingram and Robinson's strong running game. Draft a successor with the Picks we get for Drew ( Mariota or Winston ) , OL , DL and Defense are priorities. Sign Quality Coaching.
B - Stay the coarse , Ingram walks. Draft Defensive personnel early and often. Trim the fat in the offseason , Make a Splash again in Free Agency. Retool for a fading window of a hope. C- A Mix of the Two , Resign Ingram , Trim the fat. Trade for Matt Barkley & Groom Him behind Brees. Draft Oline and Defensive personnel. Overhaul Coaching personnel Keeping Payton and Ryan. |

Re: Which Scenario bares the best fruit ?
I'd say a mixture is needed
Brees is still the QB and he's got plenty of time left, just needs to be a bit smarter at times In my opinion - Payton and Rob Ryan both need to go, Payton has been getting worse and looks like he doesn't know how to fix this mess we are in We need to get younger at O line, we need a better DC, better personnel on defense and better receivers We are completely dumb on defense, 4 players around a fumble and cincy still recover it for a TD We blow coverages, leave players wide open, miss an insane amount of tackles, the list goes on |

Re: Which Scenario bares the best fruit ?
If we can't win the division this year, I say we replace 100% of the coaching staff. We will unfortunately lose a few good assistants but we will also cut loose some bad ones. This will wake up the old-guard players big-time and they know that they have to perform.

Re: Which Scenario bares the best fruit ?
I think we do have a few good years left with Drew. The key will be to improve the O-line. It seems that Drew has been running for his life
most of this season. Still think that he can pick apart any Defense with a few extra seconds. However the time has come to start the process of developing his successor. |

Let Pete call the plays for the rest of the year but make it so that Sean has no input and see if it gets better or worse on that side of the ball.
