With Brees as the passer, Payton is gonna have to geaux with bigger receivers with larger catch radii so that a passer under pressure doesn't have to be as accurate (which made the Cooks selection puzzling)...example, Jimmy Graham...
It's a smoother chuck and duck passing system... There are only a handful of defensive backs who have the athleticism to challenge the height+wingspan of a good 6'4"+ receiver... Benjamin made more sense than Cooks and would have been there without sacrificing a third round pick, dare we guess a linebacker, and would have been an ideal candidate to tutor under Colston... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: WR Depth Chart
Still waiting to see Morgan get more looks. Toon too. Two guys who can get you RAC yardage. Colston is good on crutial third downs and red zone opps. Stills can run fade routes though i think Morgan is better at anything than Stills. Against the Steelers I saw Morgan flat back a DB blocking. Morgan-faster and taller than Beckham. Run blocks, Gets open deep and catches th ball. whats not to like?

Re: WR Depth Chart
With the obvious needs up front on both offense and defense, I'd be pi$$ed rather than disappointed as I've been if they took a running back in early rounds...
Today's NFL, you just don't take a RB in the early rounds, especially with the obvious needs in the defensive front seven and the offensive line... |

Re: WR Depth Chart
Unless something just too good to turn down happens I really do not want to see a WR or RB in the first three rounds.
I think we will win the division and be picking in the mid 20s so the best 2-4 OT will be gone, its too early for a C and I think Lelito has shown enough to be given a shot at the starting gig anyway. |
