Re: Mixed reviews on Kenny Vaccaro's comments; Payton likes his passion
It's great to see ANY passion about the game and profession from ANY player on this team because Sunday they looked about as passionate and stimulated as eunuch in a whore house.
Talk may be cheap but it's AMAZING that he is the ONLY player on the team who is neanderthal enough to be totally ticked off and embarrassed by his, and his teams', performance. This team lacks testosterone! |
Re: Mixed reviews on Kenny Vaccaro's comments; Payton likes his passion
I see nothing wrong with what he said.
He has not hung anyone out to dry and has just said that he thinks loosing vets has been a reason for some of the poor play. |
Re: Mixed reviews on Kenny Vaccaro's comments; Payton likes his passion
Well let's see...Vaccaro's view vs Lofton's view
2012 when there were obvious problems with Spags...they "handled it in house" which Lofton WAS HERE FOR, nobody said anything public about it, not a peep until the season was already over, and how did that turn out for them? Uh, worst defense in history. And every individual player on that defense gets that tag, whether they individually earned it or not. Including Mr. "handle it in house" Lofton. Then the so-called "Bountygate," let's see....again they handled it "in house" and nobody (except Vilma) said anything to the media....we got hit with suspensions all around for everybody, fines, only Goodell's distorted and incomplete version of the story got told, and some dudes never played a meaningful down of football again after Goodell got through with them...it cost the team draft picks and momentum and lord knows what else.... So while I appreciate guys wanting to create a wall and have "locker room" solidarity, I don't think it really pays off in the modern era, in every situation. And having lived through this *$%#$ before, as a paying ticket holder I would rather have people talk openly, and tell it like it is, and do something to rip off the band-aid or BREAK THE SPELL of suckage, rather than have no one tell us what's really going on, until the train has already wrecked for this year and possibly next. |

Some things should be kept quiet but as i said before if you do not throw a team mate under the bus or are complaining about coaches decisions then i have no issue with talking to the press

The season isn't on one or even a few guys. It's on everybody top to bottom.

im alright with it.
It looks like we werent ready to switch to that Youth Movement yet. He's not saying the other guys arent putting it out. He's just saying they havent gelled yet. |
Re: Mixed reviews on Kenny Vaccaro's comments; Payton likes his passion
Maybe these guys need a little institutional embarrassment to be aired out. Football is a naturally ego driven sport, if looking bad on field isn't enough to get some drive out of the players, maybe having to also see it in social media can light a fire for them.
