the team and the fans all seem to have come complacent with winning and just expect it.

The fans performance as the 13th man has been poor. then again since the super bowl it has been heading south. got fat and lazy with victory

The fans buying into to press clippings is standard stuff. But to the extent of this year was unreal.

Fans bought into this great turn around when all Rob did was undo what Spags screwed up. Hell a one eyed tailless monkey could have done that.

The defense was sold like a use car. smoke and mirrors. Rob partying New Orleans style does not cut it. All it does is get him fatter.

The offense for the most part has done it's part. the defense is not worth the paper it is written on. Players to blame? yes and no.

The bulk of the issue rest on ROB RYAN shoulders.

Rob got away with murder in my book. this defense has been heading south since teams figured it out last year. new england laid out the blue print.

Robs answer?

nothing at all. no adjustments. nothing.

Just a ton of his draft picks collecting splinters on the bench. Hell Spags at least added players that see the field.

Lack of adjustments to a system that does not work effects players. both on the offense and the defense. wonder how many think to themselves "oh god here we go again."

So are we tough enough? maybe not. but are the players fed up and tired might be the right question to ask.

I will be watching the game as I have since the saints were birthed. I have only missed a hand full of games in my life time. I will be yelling and screaming at the TV like a fool and even throwing things at from time to time. thank Donna for that foam saints brick you gave me years ago. gods knows the TVs i might have wrecked.

I never give up hope and always trying to figure out a way to win it no matter how bad things look. my Pats friends just laugh at me.

I am the stupid fan standing alone screaming when all goes silent. More than once that was me in the dome. Next time i am home that will be me again.

so now i have to ask are they deep enough as a team to be tough enough to get back into this thing?

poor cap use and poor drafting has put us in this hole.

I like the Byrd signing but the dollar amount? i would not have done that deal. Jr contract? yes i am on record for questioning both moves. I still do. we were not and are not just one or two pieces away from another super bowl run.

the coaches and the front office need to come down to earth a bit and get the starters some quality backup that are tough enough. then maybe just maybe you will have a player ready to take over for a starter that is ready to hang up the cleats. right now i do not see a single one ready to compete
