Shaq Thompson before the combine was 6' 2" and somehow shrunk to 6' 0"...

And at only 2 bucks and a quarter, he's a strong safety, a very athletic strong safety...

Unless we're ready to move Vacarro back to Free Safety or as the second cornerback or just move on, it makes no sense to select him without moving someone...

So I don't see Shaq in the Saints future without moving someone...

Re: 2015 draft??

Out of the top twenty (20) draft candidates, there are only four (4) of these (bold) that are the only guys I'd be interested...

Otherwise, trade back and get additional picks in the top 75...

01 DT Leonard Williams, USC, 6' 5", 302 lbs
02 QB Jameis Winston, Florida State, 6' 4", 231 lbs
03 QB Marcus Mariota, Oregon, 6' 4", 222 lbs
04 LB Dante Fowler, Florida, 6' 3", 261 lbs
05 WR Amari Cooper, Alabama, 6' 1", 211 lbs
06 LB Vic Beasley, Clemson, 6' 3", 246 lbs
07 DT Danny Shelton, Washington, 6' 2", 339 lbs
08 WR Kevin White, West Virginia, 6' 3", 215 lbs
09 DE Randy Gregory, Nebraska, 6' 5", 235 lbs
10 DE Shane Ray, Missouri, 6' 3", 245 lbs
11 OT Brandon Scherff, Iowa, 6' 5", 319 lbs
12 WR DeVante Parker, Louisville, 6' 3", 209 lbs
13 OT Andrus Peat, Stanford, 6' 7", 313 lbs
14 DE Alvin Dupree, Kentucky, 6' 4", 269 lbs
15 CB Trae Waynes, Michigan St, , 6' 0", 186 lbs
16 OT La'el Collins, LSU, 6' 4", 305 lbs
17 DT Malcolm Brown, Texas, 6' 2", 319 lbs
18 OT T.J. Clemmings, Pitt, 6' 5", 309 lbs
19 SS Landon Collins, Alabama, 6' 0", 228 lbs
20 RB Todd Gurley, Georgia, 6' 1", 222 lbs

I'm not sold on Cooper with that high a pick, that may upset certain Roll Tide fans, but he's just not Julio Jones, who definitely is a top five pick...

La'el is definitely where he belongs, but I don't want to take the 16th rank player with the 13th pick...

Look at Waynes and I don't trust what I see; would prefer a more athletic, physical cornerback...

Besides, I'd like variety in my cornerbacks for matchups and we already have a wirey, scrappy corner in Keenan Lewis...

Re: 2015 draft??

gone
01 DT Leonard Williams, USC, 6' 5", 302 lbs
05 WR Amari Cooper, Alabama, 6' 1", 211 lbs
06 LB Vic Beasley, Clemson, 6' 3", 246 lbs

11 OT Brandon Scherff, Iowa, 6' 5", 319 lbs
16 OT La'el Collins, LSU, 6' 4", 305 lbs

this is what I think we will have left
15 CB Trae Waynes, Michigan St, , 6' 0", 186 lbs

so i guess add
Malcom Brown

so it is DT or CB.

or hype projects?
Alvin Dupree
T.J. Clemmings

Big guy & kind of hard to ignore his combine stats (work out warrior, no?), however on tape I don't see dominance at his position.

I read that some scouts compared him to Jaime Collins.

+1. And with newly acquired HC & defensive minded Dan Quinn at the helm, this is a strong possibility.

I just hope we are wrong .

Or Loomis just trades up and beats ATL to the punch. If Beasley falls past the Bears (which I doubt) then no way ATL passes him up
