Beat the South, win the South
Hey I wish we'd start a 10 game win streak Monday night, but we never seem to do good against the Ravens.
So I got to looking at ESPN's playoff machine and noticed this: We can win the division if we do nothing more than win our three remaining divisional games and the following happens: Carolina losses or ties ANY ONE GAME in addition to losing to the Saints Atlanta losses any 2 of these (and to Saints): ARZ, GB, CLE, CAR, PIT Tampa could win out (other than vs. Saints) but loses head-head tiebreaker The "help" from Carolina and Atlanta is VERY likely. I'm confident we can beat the other 3 cream puffs in our division even though we can't seem to win outside the South. So hang in there WHODAT nation - this thing probably will not be decided until week 16 or 17 |

Re: Beat the South, win the South
I'd love to hang some more curtains in our dome -- and I feel confident we can do it. The game that I am worried about is the one after the NFCS championship.
But, WTH, I'm buying a ticket to that show. |

Re: Beat the South, win the South
Yeah. If you get on the ESPN playoff calculator and try and find a path to the playoffs without the Saints beating EITHER the Falcons or Panthers, or both, it's almost impossible to do. They pretty much have to win those two, in order to control destiny and stop rooting for somebody else to have to lose. The Buccaneers game really only comes into play, if other stuff happens along the way. Got those dates circled on my calendar, fo sho.

Hosting a playoff game and not having to go to Seattle would be huge.
