I will be really mad if we don't draft LB in the first or try to sign one FA that is faster than Hawthorne and Lofton. That part of the field is huge concern.

+1. It's a major concern. There were several instances today where L Bell caught a pass in the flat and there was absolutely no linebacker in sight.

I agree. Problem is this team just doesn't seem to use high draft picks on LB. The last time we drafted a LB in the first 2 rounds was in 2001 and we've only taken 2 LB's in the first 2 rounds since 1986! It's probably why it's been an issue with this team for a while.

The Steelers last two drives were 95 and 98 yards with TWO two point conversions made. Way to go, Rob Ryan!!!!

Can't blame Rob Ryan for those drops picks though and one would have been a definite score of our D.

Well, let's just hope Drew doesn't throw any more picks the rest of the season...that's how we won today, because Drew was darn near perfect. If there had been one gnarly pick 6 or bad interception in our end of the field thrown by Drew, we would all be b***thing and moaning about the defense collapsing and a 39-35 loss right about now. If you like giving up 19 points in the 4th quarter, then I guess today was a really great win. I would love to know the stats on how many teams give up 19 points or 3 straight scoring possessions defensively in the 4th quarter in the playoffs, and live to tell the tale. Probably not too many.

Again, we played prevent defense for the last 5 minutes

Granted we missed a ton of tackles which made it worse but the defense was designed to keep everything in front of them

Plus, at this point do you really care what we look like if we get in the playoffs because I sure don't, it will be a miracle if we get there and just enjoy it for what it is, a small glimmer of hope in a otherwise lost season.
