How'd he get hurt? I thought him and the rest of the team forgot to go to the game.

I am struggling with the fact that I really dislike a handful of players atm.

But wevs. Junior is a total wad.

I just threw up writing this but....

Bobby McCray > Galette
Sedrick Ellis > Akiem Hicks

Can't believe I've had to write that lol.

I think junior is a problem in the locker room. Team cancer?
Also heard some comments about Vaccaro's arrogance and sense of entitlement.

Those match up with what I've been told.

Throw Hicks in there as well.

Reading some post game comments sure sounds like there's a leadership void in the locker room, it sure sounds like Junior is who they're referring to as the problem

Could be something to that. Team captains who stuck around after the game to talk to the media: Brees, Strief and Lofton... No Junior Gallette. Even Ben Watson hung around.

Sounds like leadership vacuums. Established veterans (Harper, Jenkins, Smith, Vilma, Shanle, etc.) replaced with young, entitled, and newly over-paid wads.

Sound fair?

Honestly, who wasn't surprised when Galette was named a captain? If anybody on the line was to be a captain it should've been Jordan, but honestly right now the only defensive players on the team with any right to it are Lofton and Keenan Lewis.

Junior has always been a loudmouthed punk on Twitter but at least he kept his mouth running at the other team.

The leadership void thing probably has a lot of merit for the defense. But it doesn't explain the struggles on offense - Brees, Colston, Strief, Evans, PT have all been around forever and guys like Watson, Grubbs, Goodwin are all extremely respected vets.

NFL players really 'tweet' with the fans? Am I out of the loop or what? I'm not sure if I want a twitter account ... probably get arrested,.

We're all just fans but honestly, I don't recall one person that thought Galette's contract and captaincy was a good idea. No one know's what happened there.

LOL, you've got to be kidding me. An NFL player doesn't have better things to do with his time?

this guy needs to be cut.

There is NO good candidate on the current defense for the captain role.

Lofton and Keenan Lewis are very much captain material. Haralson too, I'm fairly certain.

nobody on the line though. Jordan may be captain material someday but he's too inconsistent right now.

You're lucky Junior's such a professional, ;) ... he coulda' challenged you to a fight for $25k like Brandon Marshall (CHI) ... Brandon Marshall Challenges Lions Fan To Fight For 25k [PHOTO] « CBS Detroit ... I did like how his final stipulation was, "and you have to apologize to my Mom", :).

Has Hicks actually done anything at all to suggest he's better than Sedrick Ellis?

Re: Junior bashes former teammates

Jr. was selected as a team captain by his peers. Jr., who refuses to stay and take questions after one more POS game, like yesterday. Jr., who insults members of prior Saints teams who never played crap ball like he and his "peers" did yesterday. D members, BTW, many of which with a "Ring". Something Jr. will never have.

That speaks volumes about the caliber of the his peers.

The Saints need to start making their performance contracts "real time". Negotiate contracts that pay for achievements at the end of the year based upon performance, not on what they did last year.

My guess is if they re-voted today, Junior would not be a Captain.

Lewis is the only guy on defense who shows up. And he scratches, claws and fights the whole way.

I expect not, but you can't tell me character flaws weren't visible early on. From some of the things I have read there is a malignancy in the locker room. The two names you hear are Jr and KV.

Not to make this a political post, but it's like the Dems electing Nancy and Harry for leadership. You either didn't have the good sense to vote for a rational person as your captain or that is in fact the caliber of person you want to follow.

Not good either way.

Flip side you have to look at Payton and Loomis for not bringing in a free agent to whip the young players into shape.

Why even have a vote? Just turns it into a popularity contest and you'll wind up with a "Junior" now and again,. Let the coaches & staff designate the player who's displayed the most leadership capability, IMO. You're going to war, for crissake ... it's a business and millions of dollars are at stake here, do you want questionable leadership?

Where would the world be today if, for instance, on a day like June 6, 1944 the standard operating procedure was, "Well Sarge, the boys have decided that you're a little too mean and a little too much on the side of management, so they took a vote & Private ****bird will be leading the squad from now on" ... I shudder to think,
