SI changed it up. I think several writers write for his MMQB column.

It was a good write-up wasn't it?

Yeah I thought it was. I see PK took the Payton is leaving angle in the other thread.

Oh, yeah. It's very real. Trust me on that one. Group Dynamics 101. Team sports, Corporations, etc. (reedit...didn't mean to sound condescending with that, by the way. If I could add the ol' back porch country twang with chewing tobacco spit into the sentence, that's what it'd sound like.)

Carmichael needs to take the offense and offensive play-calling duties so Payton can address the Head Coaching duties full-time so he can crush this whole team right now.

Re: MMQB - Talented Losers

The Saints do have a lot of talent on paper. But they've also over paid some players who weren't nearly as talented as they were made out to be, and have done a poor job of identifying character. There was a time when it seemed the Saints could do no wrong, but that time has passed. I think from top to bottom this organization got too high on themselves, and started to lose that edge in it's evaluating and coaching process, and the players clearly (most of them) have lost their edge. Some have quit. The latter should be gone immediately, as in right now, not first thing after the season is over.
