Re: Salary Cap Crisis Looming in 2015
It's simple really. We don't draft well if we aren't picking early, The later in the round we choose the less chance we have of finding a star and we don't know how to evaluate players......we really are bad at talent evaluation and we don't coach up or develop players either. Right now I'm less excited about winning than I am about our draft selections.
When we finish in the middle of the pack(8-8 or better) we get middle of the pack talent......and if we can't develop players then we need high selections with less danger of missing on the pick. I've swung back and forth this season on what I wanted and needed from theSaints. But now I know! I want high draft picks!!! |

like danno said position has nothing to with the quality of player.
when you are faced with attitude issues it is it is more a need of accumulating picks so the odds improve. The SP and saints are in new territory so i am hoping the changes go to the approach they have had for years. right now fresh blood is in needed. hungry players to push for playing time |

Re: Salary Cap Crisis Looming in 2015
Just read a report from an NFL "insider" that the league expects the cap to be lower than everyone's assumptions falling in-between 138m and 142m.
If that's the case we really are screwed, normally I don't buy it but Loomis has a lot of work to do. |
