State may have offer ready for Saints within 10 days

NEW ORLEANS -- The state could have a proposal on a renovated Superdome and a new package of incentives ready for the New Orleans Saints ready within 10 days.
"I think that's realistic timetable," Superdome manager Doug Thornton said Wednesday.

Superdome commission officials met with state lawmakers Wednesday to brief them on plans to renovate the Dome and raise money to pay for it as well as produce additional income or incentives for the Saints. The meeting was the first of two, or possibly three, to get opinions from legislators and help with identifying revenue sources.
