These are the new Saints (maybe, he cautions himself, because who the hell knows anything about anything), the post-shakeup Saints, who are now all serious and stuff, which they absolutely weren’t, before, like two weeks ago, when they were losing horrifically.

Remember the 2008 Arizona Cardinals?

They lost to the Eagles 48-20 in week 13, the Vikings 35-14 in week 15, and the Patriots 47-7 in week 16. They had one of the best offenses but one of the worst defenses in football.

They got to the playoffs, drew the right matchups in each round, and advanced to the Super Bowl, coming within an inch of winning it.

I didnt want to be right, K Major.
But I could see a pattern.

I know I have another thread, where I've described this as the most heartless, gutless team in Saints history, and I mean it.

But if you want some positive, and there is some, I believe we 1 big draft pick, and 4 lower moves from super bowl contention. 5 replacements.

We have the best QB.
We have the skill positions, even Graham, with health & good guruship.
I believe in our schemes offensively, and defensively.
Payton is still the most exciting offensive mind in the game today.

Lets hang here, shoot the chit during our long off-season, have fun in real life. (Im newly divorced, so ....) -- and prepare for MudBugs VI, and Houston area WhoDAts---- I believe we have a tailgate at Reliant Stadium this coming season.

-- and of course, Mardi Gras is coming.
