Corey White the free safety?

A lot has been said about White projecting to be a safety coming into the league and taking some reps there during training camp. I wonder if this is just for the remainder of the season or if we've seen the last of Corey White the cornerback.

I think the CB experiment may be over. He has the skillset to be a solid safety.

Perhaps the draft gurus were right all along.

"Corner is natural for me, I've been playing that the last six years," White said. "Safety is just as natural, I've picked it up real fast. ...

"I played it in college ... but it's kind of like you're starting all over again. But whatever Sean and Rob want to help this team and defense out, that's what I'll do."

Good to know he's played some in college, albeit as a freshman.

We'll be going into the 2015 offseason with Jairus Byrd, Pierre Warren, Rafael Bush and Corey White at free safety... Quite a logjam.

True, but I think White and Bush (and Sunseri) have the skills to play both.

Byrd and Warren are really the only ones who are strictly FS type.

Malcolm Jenkins couldn't hack it either as a corner back. You see how well that transition went......crap.

This could have something to do with Sanford being injured as well...

I don't think there is room for Vaccaro on this team now. Starting line-up for 2015 Byrd and Bush, the third safety should be Warren with Bush moving to the slot.

Trade him while we can...

I thought the draft scouts had him projected at strong safety/cb not free safety. But atleast he wont have to worry about turning his head looking for the ball.
