Yeah. And next year they will fight for the job and Graham will be back again. 50 yearders? Who needs that?

Once the ball was in the air there was no way for Drew to change where it was heading, and it wasn't that he moved near simultaneous as the ball being thrown. No, he moved so late that anyone watching the replay could pick up on it clear as day. The ball was thrown where TOON HAD BEEN, which means him moving caused the INT.

First of all you don't know if it was design to be a out, in or sit the route. With Toon back to Brees it look like when he made his break to the out that was a timing route Brees missed. You can't blame Toon or Brees, if the line was protecting Brees wouldn't have risked it

Like it matters. We suck at drafting anyway.

I'm just sayin nobody on this team can play well when it counts. It has to be attitude top to bottom. Something has to change.

I wonder if we'll finally get to see Jean-Baptiste next week since it'll be a meaningless game. Who knows what kind of contribution we could've gotten this season from a different 2nd round pick.

The only draft worth sweating is if it is real ale

Glad this season is over. I can't think of a more than a handful of enjoyable moments from the ENTIRE season.

You do realize it was known from the start of the season that SJB would not play any this season, right?

Rob Ryan even said a couple of weeks ago(again), that he was a project and they knew it when they drafted him.

That Nebraska played a whole different coverage scheme than Rob Ryan does and that it would take him a year for Baptiste to get where Ryan wanted him...

Which is what I see wrong with our whole draft process

While other teams draft NFL ready players, we spend a SECOND rounder on a guy that's played the position for nearly 2 years because he MIGHT develop into something decent

Look how that's turned out for us.

lee909 12-21-2014 03:22 PM

Re: FailClowns @Saints Game Day Thread

And after learning that scheme he will probably need to learn a new one next year. Rob like the past two DC will be one of the sacrificial lambs while Vitt,McMahon will stay on

So? Doesn't change the fact that we'll never know what kind of contribution we could've gotten from a different pick. Am I supposed to be happy that we wasted a 2nd round pick on a guy we had no intention of even using?

Yeah, he may be a 6'3" beast of a corner next year....(you/we have no idea) Anyways, I'll trust our "professionals" involved in the draft process over anyone spouting off on here.

There's a reason they have the job and why no one here is employed by a team...

Win or lose imma die hard fan. I just pray for a hell of a draft and offseason and coaching (vitt/mcmahon/mcgriff/johnson/ingalls) changes

So. Let me see.
We pick up duds in the draft but we want higher/more draft picks.

Great point. We'll just use that high pick on a player who isn't ready to play in the NFL and needs to "develop."

Bound to strike gold eventually, I just wish they would stop going with this "draft a project" crap and go with the NFL ready player like other teams do.

You all know coach is drafting a WR then a RB in the second don't you

I wouldn't trust the people we have drafting...

Not saying we know ****, but if I were as bad at my job as they are... I would be looking for other employment. Our scouting department is among the NFLs worst, when is the last time we have had a stud come out of the draft? When is the last time we hit on any rookies? Your answer is 06... pathetic.

I guess all the haters of the draft could go be fans of the Raiders; they had a terrific draft last year...

The Raiders had a great draft last year... I don't see what's funny about it. Their problem is that their rookies were just about the only good players on their team.

Jimmy Graham count? How about Brandin Cooks? Vaccaro count(sophomore slump excluded)? How about Armstead? Hicks?

or does this one season where nothing went right dictate the rest of their careers?

In all fairness, Jimmy, Vaccaro and Hicks all got hyped up because of one decent season

None of them are anything special, hicks has been invisible all season, Vaccaro has been so bad its hard to miss him and Jimmy is all mouth, no results - much like junior galette.

Remember when Jimmy got in the Seahawks players face last season before the playoff game, he ended the game with 1 catch for 6 yards and 3 drops, big time player right there...

We'll either cut or trade one of our guards prior to next year. And honestly if we're not going to use Pierre, let the man go be productive somewhere. Watson is probably gone too.

In all fairness; Jimmy has been at the top of the receiving/TD lists since he's been in the league as a TE...

Vaccaro(2nd year) and Hicks(3rd year) are still way young into their careers, I guess this season defines the rest of their careers in your eyes though...

I guess that means Byrd will be horrible from here until retirement too then? I mean if we are only going off this year...

JG is the only one since 06...

Can't count Cooks (who we gave a 1st and 3rd for, when we could have gotten Kelvin), if you want to count KV that's fine but he is a bust. Armstead? Did he play this week? Oh that's right he is apart of this **** o-line... Hicks lol ... really Hicks.. lol that's a reach...

Not even mad at the obnoxious haters and hostile posts. This team underachieved more than any team that ever wore the black and gold.

One could say this was the most disappointing Saint season in history

Need either a G or C depending on what they see Lellito doing next year.
A Tackle either a LT and move Armstead over or competion for Strief.

Byrd played well until he was injured.. lead the team in tackles and turn-overs through 4 games.

Vaccaro is your stud that got beat out by two guys not even on the practice squad to start the year lolololol.
