After that performance

I am glad it is over. I think we will be better next year, but this was a down year and started week one and just kept going. SP better figure out how to motivate these players

Nice being part of another season at B&G. Thanks, to next year

Definitely glad the seasons over, at least we'll have a top 10 pick to look forward to, that's at least some conselation

The nightmare for us is we have 4 more years of Jimmy Graham dropping routine passes and Brees throwing back breaking picks at the end of games

And collectively, those 2 players make up about 30% of the cap

Count me in the glad it is over group. This season just sucked the fandom right out of me. This team has no heart and was just hard to watch from the beginning.

Yep...and when they're on top their game,they're 90% of our offensive success.....and that's a big "WHEN".

What a horrible season.

I'm definitely on the glad the bleeding has stopped bus.

Will watch the last game and cheer hard, but yeah, I feel kind of relieved. Tough season. Too many ups and downs. I'll look forward to seeing what they do with the draft and free agency.

Re: After that performance

Yes lets blame Ryan. Does Brees have to be babied now? I'm getting sick of this. We need to fix this POS Offense!! Forget the damn defense, we can't win without 5,000 yards Drew. Deal with it. Hard truth.

Grahams contract was a huge mistake, he's making close to 10 mil a year to drop 3rd down passes and get tackled by a 180 pound 5 foot 9 cornerback

Not to mention fumbling at the goal line ( yeah he was in but he shouldnt have fumbled regardless)

Agree with you,but these guys weren't playing like this when they got these contracts.

I think they're playing like this BECAUSE they got these contracts.

Still feel that injury to Graham is causing him more problems than he would care to admit.

Lets see how he gets on next season. I'm also glad this is now over and look forward to hopefully seeing some major improvements on both sides of the ball next season.

If that doesn't happen then I think we may be saying goodbye to SP and some of the other coaching staff on this team. Watch this space as the saying goes.

God bless you all and have a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

Re: After that performance

On top of all thing the Falcons are the team to send us packing in our own house in an embarrassing fashion...

This has been the most difficult season to watch because of the ups and downs and expectations. I feel bad for the season ticket holders that had to watch these last 6 home games. Nothing good came from this season, a big step back from everyone. They need to blow the team up and start over imo.

Re: After that performance

Kenny stills is a good player, definite #2 receiver but we need a number 1, like Julio Jones

Someone that can be relied upon

Plus we need to get rid of Jahri Evans, Ben Grubbs and Goodwin at least

We really need a SEC receiver and OL players from the SEC.

Foot Stomper 12-21-2014 03:28 PM

Re: After that performance

We don't have a #1 at ANY position on the roster. We used to but not any more. We need ALOT of players. Alot. A Julio, a Gronk, a Kuechly, etc. We need alot of help.

We need to lose next week. I would sit everyone including Drew Mr INT Brees, Junior "no bonus deserve" Gallete to name but two.

LivnaLieTimay 12-21-2014 03:28 PM

Re: After that performance

I have to say this has been one of, if not the most disappointing season I can remember. I had really high expectations for this team but instead what I saw is a team that has holes all over the place on both ends of the ball. The only fitting way to end this season would be to put on a dominating effort next week and drop 5 spots in the draft.

brees84 12-21-2014 03:30 PM

Re: After that performance

I think that we shouldn't rush at resigning players, not anymore. Nobody is worth big time money on this roster. If we give ingram huge contract and don't adress other needs in FA (target proven vets) I will be very disappointed.

Draft? Oh, boy.. That will be one stressful period of time. Expect unexpected. Here goes WR in round one... crickets

Re: After that performance

Drew Brees is my favorite plsyer of all time. I don't believe he deserves the beating he often takes around here. The playcalling has been amateurish and predictable for the last 2-3 years. Coulston would be a #2 or #3 on many other teams. The offensive line has been beyond awful for 4 years, at least. The defense has lost leads and lost games that Drew had won on more occasions than I can count. And the passes that his "stud" TE has dropped the last two years are unbelievable.

All that said, his INT at the end of this game is truly inexcusable. I dont get it. How did he not see that corner jumping the route?

Of all the heartbreaking things to happen this season, for me, this one hurts the most.

Re: After that performance

That o line needs to be addressed badly

WillSaints81 12-21-2014 03:32 PM

Re: After that performance

Thats not going to be addressed in the offseason if you spread the help around. If we don't get back to blocking for Drew like two years ago then it won't matter what the defense does. The defense is quitting on Drew. It was the same thing with the gamecocks, they could not bail out Garcia and he was relying on Clowney to bail him out constantly, and he lost his job four weeks in. One side of the ball can motivate the other side. But defense is not going to motivate Drew. Defense makes the other defense play harder. But offense will set a fire under a defense and make them be proud to play for us.

I hope he sits next week only to think of that INT all offseason. He was awful all year long with a few exceptions as was the entire team.

Re: After that performance

We need to find a gullible team to take Jimmy Graham and his huge contract off our hands

Literally what does he do? Catches a pass and screams at people for like a minute, then drops crucial third down catches and looks around trying to blame others

Play Ryan griffin next week!!! He deserves some playing time in a meaningless game!

I'm curious why the SEC? The best WR in the league is out of the ACC.
Our scouts need to search high/ low for talent and not just the SEC.

Leave no stone un-turned.

Re: After that performance

SEC's are more proven than any other conference that is why. Just to point out there was an article early in the year where someone said SEC made him ready for the NFL. I think it was Matthews from the eagles but I could be wrong.

Galette is going to get three sacks to top off this horrible season.

Re: After that performance

SEC or AAC or Big 10 or whatever, it's all the same, they need to stop drafting so many guys from John Jay Haircutting College or people who majored in water polo or rock climbing instead of football, or guys with huge personal question marks floating around them. Too many "reaches" and "projects" and "raw talent" in the draft classes on this team. Need some solid talent players from big time programs that know how to create football players, and who can come right in and contribute.

They say we lost our "leadership" on defense -- Harper, Vilma, Will Smith, Sedrick Ellis -- every single one of those guys was from a BIG school program, not from Samford or the University of Rangoon. These bargain basement, grab bag players are not going to get it done on defense.

Simply no fight from this bunch. 5 consecutive losses at home?
Wow, that is a tough pill to swallow.

A handful of players AND coaches - this franchise will be elite again.

Glad this team is done. Their disfunction was mind-bending.

So disappointed in the offense today.....

Re: After that performance

I will say that if we draft bad this draft I could see us at the bottom of the barrel. I can also see a solid draft and I mean a 1-5 and a couple FA we could easily be back on top, but no matter how good they could be there still needs to be a change of coaches. Vitt and Johnson need to leave and I'm on the fence with Ryan leaving right now to.Even if he has been dealt a bad hand from the beginning. I would look to trade some players also, contracts or not. I bet Benson is pi$$ed.
