That just shows some of the complacency and cockiness that has developed in the organization that they thought the team was in such great shape that they could essentially waste a second round pick on a guy they had no intention of even putting on the field this year. It's even more egregious considering they knew that they didn't have a third round pick due to trading up for Cooks.

a statement like this makes alarm warnings go off in my head. serious and i mean serious lack of communication happening here. no one is talking to SJB? if this is the case this defensive coaching staff is the reason why the defense has continued slide.

It is Rob job not only to teach players but it is also his job to teach his coaches plus make sure every one is on the same page.

it is obvious he does not have every one on the same page and i wonder if the book itself is even bond up yet.

Looking at those highlights it seems he is an all-or-nothing player. But we haven't seen aggressive corner play like that all season. I am looking forward to seeing this guy get on the field at some point.

No offense but this is not how football teams operate on any level. They don't baby players. If you're in, you're in - if not, you sit and wait for your turn. You don't go in the coaches office and sit on the couch like he's your psychologist, tell him all your problems and talk about your future. That's what offseasons are for.

is a totally different thing. if after 17 games you do not have a clue why your not playing, it is 1 of 2 things

1 your dumber than a door nail
2 someone is not doing their job

after the way this defense has played all year i lean to #2

It says to me that the guy probably isn't ready but he thinks he is, kinda' like the WR (forgot his name already, :shrug) that they just cut and it's everybody's fault but his own for his lack of playing time, :rolleyes:. The one thing it seems they forget to explain along the way to quite a few of these new breed of NFL players is how to be an adult, :shrug.

Also agree with the theory that he might have raw potential and rather than ruin his confidence by burning him out in a no-win situation, they'll take advantage of his rookie status to save him for later. His little whine here does kinda' imply he lacks the maturity to be able to recover from a setback so they might want to handle him with kid gloves & save him the trouble of traumatizing him, :rolleyes:.

If it was up to me, I'd put a pair of ice skates on his behind and make him skate with a Junior B team in the off season ... put some hair on his chest, ;).

The way our D has played he should have seen the field. Trial by fire can be a good thing, at least he would be able to look at his play in the film room and go from there. He is the" mystery man" in a Saints uniform.
