I've read KV has a very cocky attitude and a sense of entitlement (may be just an unfounded rumor) so maybe this is coaches way of bringing him back down to earth.

This is going to be hard to correct when the head coach has the same issues.

Frankly I'm steamed Payton appears to be playing all the starters this week. It. Makes. Zero. Sense. It's time to show Payton the door.

No way. I have more faith in Payton than most head coaches. Changes need to be made but not at HC and QB.
