Oh well....so much for change...he probably had the most talent to work with on the defensive side of the ball and had terrible production from it...I swear if they keep him and fire Ryan The defense will never improve

get on CB that is a solid #2 that can cover man on man 85% of the time.

then start the evals.

that would leave the rest of the defense to deal with the middle of the field. if a monkey can do it so could this group, if not can every last one of them

not asking for top 10 out this brain trust. just top 25.

Houston's Kareem Jackson,
Seattle's Byron Maxwell,
San Diego's Brandon Flowers,
Arizona's Antonio Cromartie
Green Bay's Tramon Williams.
49ers' starters, Perrish Cox and Chris Culliver are solid possibilities coming into their prime (not to mention 49ers backup Chris Cook).

Indianapolis' Darius Butler,
Oakland's Tarell Brown,
Cleveland's Buster Skrine,
Philadelphia's Bradley Fletcher,
New York Giants' Walter Thurmond
Pittsburgh's Brice McCain.

Chicago's Charles Tillman (if he doesn't retire),
Pittsburgh's Ike Taylor (a New Orleans native),
Detroit's Rashean Mathis,
Cincinnati's Terence Newman
Oakland's Carlos Rogers.

All listed by Mike Triplett on his ESPN mail page about CB the Saints could go after

I don't see Chris Harris' name, Denver Broncos.

Just about all of these guys would be upgrades for us at the #2 CB position.
Bradley Fletcher is about the only guy I would stay away from. He was torched week in and week out. I wanted T Brown last year due to his physicality at the position.

Whomever we sign in FA at the CB position will be a key piece to our 2015 defense. Add in one more pass rusher, LB and we are back in business.

Martez Wilson was even worse when he left here.

I think we simply suck at drafting LB's. There's really no evidence at all that suggests its coaching, but there's plenty of evidence that says we suck at picking LB's.

Of course it might help if we decided to start picking LB's before the 4th round.

Maybe those guys would do better elsewhere if they got off to better starts. Like most things in life, when you develop bad habits it's hard to shake it. We do suck at drafting LB's (as we do with most everything lately) but you still have to find a way to develop at least a couple players over this long period of time. And by the way, I'm quite sure any decision regarding LB's through the draft or free agency, is endorsed by Vitt before it goes through. As a position coach, you have to evaluate talent, not just coach it. So either way you want to look at it, he's not very good at his job.

So much for sweeping changes...

Like I said, the only real change will be to people that don't matter like the TE coach ect... Let's fire all of the offensive coaching we have on the #1 offense in the NFL, but we'll keep all of the worst defensive coaches that helped us get that 32nd rating!!!!

GO PAYTON 2015!!!
