Problem wasn't the safeties leaving, problem was the defensive front seven was ineffective because of injuries (i.e. Jenkins, Foster) and effort (i.e. Galette, Jordan, Hawthorne)...

The problems were plentiful, the solutions were not.

Re: Sean Payton mum on Rob Ryan's future

It seems as if Ryan is to much of a "buddy" to these players. The more I read into this the past couple of days, the more I'm beginning to think that Ryan may be to soft on them. Why is it that he had to raise his voice and get animated for half time for the players to get motivated? Gallete said it himself....he said after that speech, they felt like he really cared about this defense and they went out there and played hard for him. REALLY?!? That's the lamest thing I've ever heard. I remember Greg Williams flipping out on Tez during practice because he f**ked up. GW grabbed his face mask and cussed him out while pulling him off the field. Maybe we need that for these players. I think they take advantage of Ryan like any one of us would do if we had a pushover boss. No wonder they want him back.

It's certain he will either stay or go! Sources have reported.

First we have to Define Stay and then Define Go

Sean Payton's Monday press conference to wrap up the 2014 season occurred more than an hour later, so it was a pretty safe bet that Payton didn't fire Ryan during that span.

Payton, however, still managed to cut off any questions about Ryan's future at the pass with his opening statement: "Anything we do from a personnel standpoint involving players, or from a coaching standpoint involving coaches, will be announced and talked about at the appropriate time. Today would not be the day to do that."

Am I the only one who is actually more concerned by the fact that the players like Ryan? I mean if you look like complete and utter crap for a coach you like, what does that say? I think it makes it worse.
