2015 NFL Calendar: Keys Dates, Free Agency, and more
While the 2014 NFL Season is not officially over, we obviously know the New Orleans Saints season is. As many of us turn the page forward, we look forward to the new year and what it brings. Here’s some of the big highlights on the NFL calendar in 2015:

Jan. 17: East-West Shrine Game (St. Petersburg, Florida)
Jan. 24: Senior Bowl (Mobile, Alabama) qualifying for the NFL beauty pageant Feb. 10: Teams free to sign CFL players with expired contracts Feb 16: First day a team may designate Franchise/Transition players Team needs for the draft starts to take shape Feb. 17-23: NFL Scouting Combine (Indianapolis, Indiana) Show time let the beauty show begin. March 2: Deadline to designate Franchise/Transition players March 7-10: Teams allowed to contact and enter into negotiations with unrestricted free agents, but are unable to offer deals until March 10 March 10: Prior to 4:00PM EST, teams must be under the 2015 salary cap, exercise all options for 2015 from clauses in 2014 contracts, submit offers to restricted free agents. Free agency officially begins, and trading is allowed. The final draft day plans start to be drawn up March 22-25: Annual Meeting (Phoenix, Arizona) April 6: Teams who have hired a new head coach and the end of the 2014 regular season may begin offseason workouts. April 20: Teams with returning head coaches may begin offseason workouts. April 24: Deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets. April 29: Deadline for prior club to exercise right of first refusal to restricted free agents. Draft battle plans are finalized April 30-May 2: NFL Draft (Chicago, Illinois) Let the hopes of all fans be dashed on the rocks? nope their is always hope |
