defense issue = players and coaches
offense issue = age and cap

i say deal with offense as much as you can to get the cap straightened so you then can focus more on the defense, Defense need an attitude adjustment big time and that can only be found with veterans from a system that does not put up with the crap we do, that is a hard sell to serious football players. its like asking a college player to go back to playing pee wee

The draft is offense heavy. Hopefully one of the two top OLB's are available at #13 when the Saints pick. If not, get an OT, RB, C, and G in the first four rounds and give Brees the best shot at his last couple years in the NFL.

Best player available is always the answer. I'm curious to see Gordon's combine numbers. Is he really an elite talent? 4.4 speed, bench reps all that. If he's a young Adrian Peterson and we get him at 13....great! I like Kwon Alexander from LSU. Whats his story?

The reasons I like Denzel Perryman

He comes from a LB factory at Miami - Jon Vilma, Ray lewis etc

He doesn't go for the big hit, but causes one anyway because he's so fundamentally sound in his tackling form. He squares up, breaks down, watches the players waist and attacks

His closing speed is very impressive

He gets off blocks well

We have a great track record of finding running backs for nothing. No way we waist another high draft pick on a running back with all the holes we have to fill. If we draft offense we need lineman and receivers.

For as bad as our defense was this year, if we drafted o-line in the first round, my feelings wouldn't be hurt. Although top ranked with stats, our offense was weak as a baby at times and Brees was rushed and on his rump!

Cowboys offered Murray a 4 year deal worth 16mil. He rejected that offer.

That's your RB market. These days in the NFL, you just don't overpay RBs.

Here's a better idea, tag Ingram and trade him for a 3rd and then we could trade one of our thirds for a first without losing an original first. And Junior could be traded too if saints don't want to stay with him.
