Brees named to Pro Bowl squad
1 Attachment(s)
Drew Brees is replacing Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger on the ProBowl roster. The Pro Bowl will be held in Arizona -- the host site of Super Bowl XLIX.
Brees surpasses former Saints Pro Football Hall of Fame tackle William Roaf (7) with the most selections in franchise history. It is Brees’ seventh consecutive selection, dating back to the 2008 season, tying him with Roaf for the most consecutive Pro Bowl selections in team records. Brees is in his 14thNFL season and ninth with the Saints. In 2014, he started all 16 games for the fifth consecutive season and completed 456-of-659 passes (69.2 percent) for 4,952 yards with 33 touchdown passes and a 97.0 passer rating. FROM WDSU.com |

Re: Brees named to Pro Bowl squad
I guess his reputation precedes him. I didn't see a probowler this year.

He led the league in yards with 4,952. 33 TDs to 17 INTs and a 97,0 QB rating is a pretty good season if you just look at that. |

The voting is terrible and the game is worse

Re: Brees named to Pro Bowl squad
In a bad year for Brees he still threw almost 5000 yards, 33 TD, 97 passer rating and made the Pro Bowl. I remember when we would've lost our minds to have a QB with those numbers. Now we just gripe.

I'm not sure is that because Brees is a highly recognized name. It's got more to do with the teams that are winning when it comes to qbs because they see highlights of qbs making game winning plays on winning teams. When it comes to other positions well its not so much about winning teams. Only qbs on winning teams make pro bowl in voting. |
Re: Brees named to Pro Bowl squad
bet people think he just needs a better OL
